Assess the argument that state policy has largely failed to protect the institution of the family I think that state policy although appears to benefit people with families and their families; it is not always the case. An example of how state policy does not protect the institution is the Divorce Law Act. This act allows for a quicker, cheaper way of getting a divorce and allows divorce to be obtained much easier. This does not protect the institution of family because before this act came into place most people would try to work out the problems within their marriage because divorce was a long and expensive process. However, with the new act and its simplicity people are no longer trying to fix their marriages and are just getting divorced which leads to the breakdowns of many family units.
This week during meeting time, our group spoke about some of the challenges we were experiencing individually with the class as a whole. One of the topics that Brittnay struggled most involved graphs. Brittnay mentioned that she was able to consult with an old friend, and he was able to provide assisting with completing the assignments. He is a certified math tutor, and has a true love for math. Overall, Brittnay explained that she is very pleased with the interactions with group
Holding it is, like, ‘what?’ ” Frances credits her teacher not only for her notes in the margin in all six of those early drafts, but also for the encouragement to keep going. “I would have never imagined when I first started Western Civilization that that would have even been a possibility in all possible worlds, that I could write a paper that would one day be published,” Frances said. “She was just really encouraging with it and really supportive. I think having that support made me want to follow through even more. It made me feel like I could do it.” As she begins to think about career plans, Frances thinks she might want to play a similar role in the lives of others.
He offered a lot of help and was willing to make notes on my paper to attempt at helping me make my paper the best it could possibly be. I really appreciate his time and effort and definitely took in to account some of the great and helpful feedback he gave me. Another person I would also like to shortly thank is Professor Miller. She took the time out of her busy schedule to sit down and have a conference with me and go over any questions. It made it easier to figure out exactly what she was looking for in my paper.
In the introduction she explains what it was like to grow up in the ad after WWII. I like how she gave just information about how her dad was treating her as she grew up. The reason why is because it takes a lot of guts to write that way that you care about. I also like how she described what
The research paper and its effectiveness at measuring a student's performance has become a debate within the educational community. Critics of the form say that in our age of technology the internet has made sources too readily available and therefore the essay type is obsolete. Yet, there are professors that would disagree and state they are encouraging students to think unconventionally. With good evidence on both sides of the argument it is hard to decide if this is an effective means of evaluation. There are more effective ways of assessing knowledge such as other types of essays and oral presentations.
When it comes to what children are reading, people only think of the bad things and what the book is about. They don’t look at how it could possibly benefit them! I think that students should be able to read books that appeal to their beliefs and culture. It could help them learn more about themselves and their religion; they can’t do that if those books are banned from school libraries and bookstores! Book banning has been going on for the past two thousand years but people still read those books!
The author does this again when looking at the statistics Canada study. Although she does make mention of the year of the study, there is no further information about where to find or review the study itself. There is a reason that using references and giving credit to those who completed the research is important. I often find myself reading something, and wanting to dive further into the content and learn more about the topic discussed. With this poor use of sources, it makes this a more challenging feat for those who wish to learn
I believe Mrs. Williams left an impact on every child who was blessed enough to have her. When compared to a few other teachers I have had, there is a very practical reason why Mrs. Williams sticks out. Her thoughtfulness and cheeriness top the charts. Mrs. Williams has influenced me so greatly that I have decided to become an English teacher. I only hope to be half as great as her.
Jeannie, the inspiration for it all, seemed like a woman of true love for what she did and how much she loved kids. Krosoczka furthermore gave back to the people that gave to him with the book and also created this amazing day for the lunch ladies to feel even more appreciated. After reading the article it made me look at what other people who aren’t as appreciated. For example, police officers, crossing guards, and post officers, it makes me think that these people do things that don’t receive a lot of recognition. However, they’re not in need of a day, but they should deserve some type of recognition for what they do for the community.
