In it, he focuses on the fact that regardless of how vulnerable and miserable people may become, they always possess the power of dreams, which provides for them, hope for the future. In fact, it is these dreams of a better life that prevent them from becoming utterly depressed and frustrated with life. Steinbeck communicates this concept of dreams of a better life within his characters. Many people have dreams in their lives, although in order to follow or meet that dream, one must face reality first. The characters in this novel had dreams that were not real or possible to achieve, but they still strived to accomplish that goal.
Today, we know that stars are born from interstellar gas clouds, shine by nuclear fusion and then die, sometimes in dramatic ways. This paper will discuss the life cycle of stars, but to have a better understanding of the life cycle of stars we first need to understand their birth. Since we were children, we have been curious about those little lights in the night sky that seem to twinkle in the darkness. We even sang about them growing up, “Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are? As a child, we could not understand the magnificent miracle that takes place for a star to be born.
Stories Stress the Importance to Have Faith; Comparative Essay Stories can have a vast variety of different aspects, patterns, and meanings. A story usually consists of a plot, or story line, that leads the protagonist on "the hero's quest"; a journey the central character endures throughout a story. Overcoming a Failure Growing up is a learning experience, and sometimes it is difficult for us to understand why things happen or how to process them. When young people fall in love they fall hard, immature or inexperienced the love is great, but when they fall apart, the pain is greater. Throughout life and especially with love it is important to always continue to move forward, adapt, and overcome our failures. It was through failure that I realized the true strength within me, a strength which allowed me to endure and survive. It is easy to fall in love, but staying in love is a whole other challenge.
They both describe how one goes through life learning from life’s struggles. Paulo Coelho says in The Alchemist “We are afraid of losing what we have, whether it’s our life or our possessions and property, but this fear evaporates when we understand that our life stories and the history of the world are written in the same hand” (Coelho 76). What Paulo is talking about, is that we are afraid of loss. One does not want to lose their belongings, but once one understands that one’s life needed to lose those things in order to become who they are in life. In comparison Gary Allan sings “Life ain’t always beautiful some days I miss your smile I get tired of walking all these lonely miles” (Gary Allan).
The key to unlock ones imaginative journey lies within us as we channel through our emotions to create a perfect world, memory or fantasy, where the pain barely exists. Thus, one struggles to comply and grasp reality as these journeys aren’t necessarily recalled in chronological order, as we tend to forget unnecessary things which trigger moments of heartache. Giuseppe Tornatore’s “Cinema Paradiso” and Wordsworth’s “Tintern abbey” highly stress these conceptual theories through the character’s journey, reinforcing the concerns about the changing world and how one retaliates. These spiritual and physical transformations create insight on the persona’s new life, both. As both the texts and their contexts are linked, further suggesting to the audience to draw on these journeys and appreciate the world around us.
Whitman explains that we have the choice either to; except all the bad things in the world and move on in order to pursue happiness, or to never move past an awful experience and live a terrible life. I have realized through this poem, that in order to make the world a better place, we ourselves first have to except this fact, and to let go of any dreadful incidents in order for people to be happier. I understand that some people just can’t handle it, or it might take longer than others to forgive & forget. But, if a majority of the human beings on Earth today worked toward this goal, then people would be more understanding, and more open/kind to new possibilities. Although, I know this is hoping for too much, but I can gradually see small changes in what people do and say in the modern world.
This means that I better not say no to my education because without education my future is doom. Also, this proverb tells me to never let myself say no to my work because work brings perfection. Euripides not only means a lot to me, but to everyone who has read it. Euripides’s implication of his proverb has a huge meaning. It is for one who actually wants to become someone in life to live by it or to just ignore it like people
