The most profound theme she discussed during the interview was her love and dedication to her family and church. Her dutiful involvement with her Church has given her strength and encouragement. Belonging to a Christian church and being a part of a spiritual family plays a vital role in living and enhances survival. The church is where she met her recently deceased husband and best friend. The personal interview with Ernestine was a meaningful opportunity that I am grateful for.
He taught us lessons that normally wouldn’t be learned in the average school. On numerous occasions, he would be seen with his daughter at sporting events that involved his students. Cheering loudly, he constantly had a smile breached on his face. He has taught me to be grateful for my family. Always being a spiritual being, he joined the Catholic Church.
They soon began tithing and becoming fully faithful to the Lord. At one time, Robert took his personal salary and gave it to Christian endeavors. He also gave his time to Christian businesses and Christians colleges. Evelyn was always one step behind her husband and supported him with all he did. Even after having five children of her own, she always found time to help out with the young men who worked for Robert; making sure they had hot meals and places to sleep to keep them out of trouble.
Kara gave Jordan numerous examples of how God has helped her throughout her life. She showed her that she should pray to God whenever she needs help or is in trouble. She also made Jordan go to a meeting about Jesus, which made her eventually believe and accept God into her life. The novel, Deep Green, proved to be delightful, inspiring, and enjoyable. Jordan overcame jealousy and fear to become a caring and thoughtful individual.
The reader can conclude that Gates really loved his mother and admired her. His mother was very smart and he admired her for that. The “ biggest reason” that he joined the church was because of his mother, and he was glad he did. Strengths to their relationship was their closeness and the love they shared. A weakness to their relationship would be when his mother told him all the time that she was going to die.
Belief is a clambering for everyone just like for Equiano. As he finally became Christian - because he was told that this is the only way to go to Heaven – he reached his spiritual liberation, his spiritual conversion. Reading the Bible was a good aim for this conversion. And the mixture of knowledge and faith always rewards you with self-fulfillment you are always able to become the desired person who you want to
The atmosphere at Cerritos Mission Church is great for Christian worship. It is so peaceful and tranquil that I can easily connect with God and improve my relationship with him through prayer. This particular church is always open to the public and is an excellent place for contemplating. Although the atmosphere is amazing, the buildings of this church are very old and run down. Just like most churches, the income a church receives is by its members and donations from the community.
Not only do I feel closer with God, but I feel closer with everyone, and I feel everyone is closer to me. Having a Catholic influence in the school gives me a sense of strength and a bond with everyone around, it is a feeling that I only share when I am at Bishop Noll or at home. My fellow classmen speak and talk with each other about our faith, and future, and this gives me hope and comfort. These next high school years are where I will start to figure out who I am, as a young lady and a future college graduate. I have become more studious and have placed a larger importance on my grades and how they impact my future.
Sean Thomas Journal I think I have seen much spiritual and intellectual growth in myself this year. I think the curriculum (and the teacher) has positively affected my Christianity and my faith in God. Out of all the Bible classes I have had in my time in middle school, this class has probably been the best and the heaviest. I think the style of how this class is run was at times challenging, but probably got us more used to how high school classes are going to be, and what they will demand from you. The textbooks we used this year weren’t half-bad and actually good in my opinion.
I made a vow I would help others anyway I could. I now help my church when we have our summer youth camp by tutoring kids in math, science, and social studies. My mother always said helping others in life will make us stronger as individual. That is why I want to become a teacher because I would be able to give back to my community and give kids the education they deserve. Teaching is something I am passionate about doing, I love being able to be there and talk to the kids when they need a shoulder to lean and cry on.
