6.            INTERVENTION /NURSING IMPLICATIONS e.g. avoid hypo/hyperkalemia with digoxin, awareness of fluid and potassium intake with furosemide, etc.

EPINEPHRINE  1 : 10,000 IV
1. Generic name : Epinephrine; Trade : Primatene Mist, Asthmanefrin, nephron
2. Intraspinal, intravenous, inhalation, and topical
3. 0.5~1 mg intravenous or intracardiac injection for the cardiac arrest
4. beta1 and beta 2 adrenergic agonist, vasopressor, bronchodilator, antiasthmatic
5. GI disturbances, epigastric pain, dyspnea, and photophobia
6. Rotate subcutaneous injection site to prevent necrosis. Use topical nasal solutions only for acute states; do not use for longer than 3~5 days.

ATROPINE
1. Generic : Atropine ; Trade : None
2. Intravenous, Intraosseous, Intramuscular, Inhalation, Oral, Ophthalmic
3. 0.4~0.6mg PO IM, SC, IV
4. Cholinergic blocking drug
5. Dry mouth, blurred vision, Drowsiness
6. Ensure adequate hydration; provide environmental control(temperature) to prevent hyperpyrexia

DIAZEPAM
1. Generic : Diazepam ; Trade : Valium, Diastat acupial
2. Oral, Intramuscular, Intravenous
3. Oral : 2~10 mg/day PO 2~4 times/day. Injection : 5~10 mg maximum dose of 30mg
4. Anticonvulsants, skeletal muscle relaxants
5. Drowsiness, fatigue, ataxia
6. Do not administer intraarterially. Discuss risk of fetal abnormalities with patients desiring to become pregnant

LORAZEPAM
1. Generic : Lorazepam ; Trade : Ativan
2. Intravenous, intramuscular injection, orally
3. Intravenous – 4 mg given slowly, Oral – 1~10mg
