A love like this is a rarity. And if by chance you find a love like this do not let it go, but cherish it. She ask in the song “Is that too much too be asking for” (44) I think she ask this because we should love like this. Why is love like this so rare? If we love our partner/husband/boyfriend, we need to love with our whole heart.
In most cases, this choice is a positive for both sides and it designate to the wedding, because each of us hoping for the best for the positive end of a romantic relationship… Entry#2: Do you believe love conquers all? Why or why not? I do not believe in love at all. For me it just a temporary feeling that some people call a loud word “love”. So Do I believe love conquers all?
What is your definition of love? Whether or not Romeo and Juliet are truly in love is a controversial topic. Some people believe they are truly in love. Others, however, believe they are not in love. Although both sides of this controversy have merit, I believe that the title characters in Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet are truly in love because they would die for each other, they went behind their parents’ backs and risked getting caught and they got married so they were committed to each other.
Some of the differences were how it happened like in hitch it was because sarahs friend got screwed over and she blamed the date doctor. In how to lose a guy in 10 days it happened over a bet that was pointless because in the end it hurt both of them even though they loved each other. So even though they share thing and have thing that differ there both based on the concept of love and how it can change a person no matter
But, as Gatsby found out, love is like being on a battlefield and you have to fight for the person you love. Gatsby was madly in love with Daisy but when he went off to war she moved on. He didn’t necessarily get her back, but she did have an affair with him which lead him to believe he was getting his true love back. True happiness is one idea that can only be defined by each individual. Nobody really knows what true happiness is, but as long as each person is happy with themselves and their situation then they may have true happiness.
In many families there are conflicts or disagreements. Daisy Fae had a conflict with her family over Jay Gatsby. Daisy loved him, but her family didn’t want her seeing him again because they didn’t approve of him. It quotes on page 73 ‘She was eventually prevented, but she wasn’t on speaking terms with her family for several weeks’. This shows that although Daisy loved him she chose her family over him even though she wasn’t very happy with the decision.
Janie’s Undying Quest for Love All human hearts, at their core, desire love. What this love comes to mean can differ from person to person. How one is brought up can greatly influence their view on what true love is and, for some, leave them without happiness. In Zora Neale Hurston’s Their Eyes Were Watching God, Janie finds true love only when she lets go of what society is telling her to do. Although her Grandmother taught her that love is settling with a wealthy man, Janie does not give up on her vision of love.
As soon as they meet and get married they are instantly stuck together for life even if they are not married. According to Hester the marriage was never a true marriage out of love, but just an attempt at a better life, but despite this fact Chillingworth still loved and cared for Hester as if some kind of love would come back to him in return. This odd couple will forever be tied together because of the muddy past they had that was never resolved for Chillingworth until he finds out with whom Hester committed adultery with.
As her roommate, I also experience their fighting and happiness conversations on the phone. I know how they care about each other, how they miss each other, how they love each other. However, what I have seen so far in my life is that love is so unpredictable. Yes, I got it. What I need is a true love in my life.
Whereas, the couples must love each other unconditionally and decide on choosing each other without the input of anyone else but themselves, it is assumed that “married couples should be best friends, sharing their most intimate feelings and secrets. They should express affection openly but also talk candidly about problems. And of course they should be sexually faithful to each other.” (Coontz 381) In my opinion, I do not agree with Stephanie Coontz saying George Shaw theory of marriage has unrealistic expectations even though each culture has their own interpretation of marriage. No matter what each culture is different, if they believe that having more than one wife or having cospouses it is their choice and some will stay true to the values they were raised on. Finally, Coontz brought forth if someone is not marrying for love but just for the status then what is the point of getting married.
