What are the causes and effects of global warming? What are the solutions of this problem. Global warming is leading to the alteration in the weather conditions where the climate is becoming hotter. The cause for the rise of the world temperature is the addition of carbon dioxide by human activity and by natural calamity. To a certain extent, the effect is being felt by everyone. Developed countries are more responsible and the most vulnerable are the developing countries that have more difficulty to adapt due to less developed technology and less capital available. The issue of global warming is serious and requires immediate attention. Vehicles are among the famous invention of human. Currently around 1 billion of vehicles are in circulation in the world and are emitting carbon dioxide. Naturally the normal percentage of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere is 0.035%. Nowadays, with all the vehicles that are increasing on our roads, the level of carbon dioxide is rising rapidly. Since the past 200 years, the level of carbon dioxide has increased up to 35%. This gas is the principle contributor to global warming. The chlorofluorocarbons(CFCs) is a compound that cause ozone depletion. It has been widely used in refrigerant, aerosol applications and air conditioning. Unfortunately CFCs are responsible for grave damage to the ozone layer which filters out most of the sun’s harmful ultraviolent radiation before it can reach the earth. In 1985, scientist discovered an ozone hole in the Antarctic that cause ice sheet to be held at lower temperatures and result in melting followed by rise of the worldwide sea level over time. Subsequently flood occur on coastal regions. It is also suspected that consequences such as skin cancer, damage to plants and human vision problem occur with the increase in ozone depletion.
