What a College Degree Will Bring to Me Today obtaining a college degree is a tool we use to have more fulfilling lives and I also see it as a tool that is used for survival. I cannot accept and think of the idea of telling them no, especially knowing that there is something that I can do to prevent this. My husband and children have had a huge influence on my decision of returning back to school. I would like to be a good role model for my family.
