Wellness Week The first day of term three was Wellness Day. We started with a beautiful tribute to spiritual wellness. Girls from Year 7-12 were the liturgical dancers while the Madrigals sang, The Visit. The Prefects set the scene for the week with a happy skit based on the TV show, ‘Glee’. One comment from a year seven student was that ‘After those two hours many more would be breastfeeding when they became mothers’. Interactive sessions on social wellness and healthy eating were also well received and the session on body image led one participant to reflect that it was about time someone said that ‘We are able to enjoy being ourselves without worrying about what the media wants us to be!’ At lunch time students and staff were all on the oval for a world record attempt at Karate led by Brodie Lester, Class of 2007. Year 8s cooked muffins for morning tea and a healthy lunch was provided by the canteen for all. The rest of the week included sessions each day in an extended lunch period. Tuesday we learned about Mindfulness and in particular, Mindful eating when Peggy Davis, Class of 1970, back in Perth for a visit from Charlotte North Carolina presented
