Week One Summary
This week I learned several things about behavior, attitude, and the effects on the job. I learned of different survey test that can be given to employees to determine placement for the employees.
I found out that you can give surveys to employees to find out more about them. Knowing a person’s capabilities, attitudes, and even culture can be helpful in placing employees with the right group and the right position.
I feel I understand most of this topic. It makes sense to know that an employee will perform best when they have the right attitude, are around positive people, and understand goals.
Some things that were discussed are things I knew. Managing a business it is understandable. In our hiring procedures we have given test, had certain questions, and tried to make sure the people were capable. In our business we need to know if they are capable and we give the test but we also give training. Training is very important in our field. Our employees have to understand exactly what they need to be doing.
As for the next week I hope to learn more. I hope to understand more about managing employees. I look forward to learning other things. I like to learn about things I have seen or heard and then it makes more sense as to why or how it works.
I feel this class will give me more confidence in myself as an owner. Although, I am not the final authority in our company, I am learning so that I can be in the future and I want to do it right. As our company grows I want to grow, too.
