When a student is in new surroundings they will search and test the grounds on which they can and cannot do. There can be a fundamental reason such as ADHD. When a student is over active they could have developmental problems, and maybe they are frightened to have the child tested. The plan that I would use is clarifying the rules in the classroom and then displaying him or her classroom techniques. Maybe sometimes you have to show the student more than once to understand the procedures.
Learning and Cognition PSY 390 Learning and Cognition Learning is a complex subject to define. It is one of the cognitive processes that have been studied by psychologists extensively. To define learning it is important to look at many events that occur when learning as well as the outcome after they are learned. For the most part, witnessing a change in behavior is the foundation to studying cognitive processes. It is no different when examining learning we find as individuals learn they show a change in behavior.
The teacher was told that the object of the experiment was to study the effects of punishment on learning. They are also told that their role in the experiment was to read word lists to the learner and the learner must remember the second word from a list of word pairs they had read earlier. If the learner got the answer wrong, then the teacher was told to administer shocks, for each answer that the learner got wrong, and the shocks had to increase in intensity. It is the schools responsibility to be able to provide good enough teachers, who can prepare these students. In order to have a good education, there must be qualified teachers there to teach and prepare students effectively. Bauerlein questions schools curriculums and the way they are presenting “complex texts” (Bauerlein) to the students; “The more high school teachers place complex texts on the syllabus and concoct slow, deliberate reading exercises for students to complete, the more they will inculcate the habit” (Bauerlein). Students learn what their teachers tell them they have to learn, without knowing the effects the teachings will have on them whether good or bad. While this statements sound so simplistic, it’s really being lost in the world of teaching. While trying to keep up with testing standards and needs of students, we as teachers must make sure that we are not creating ignorant thinkers. The teacher’s role is to promote learning using the children’s interests to develop the curriculum. This means the teacher is not actually teaching the class or leading the class like most teachers. The teacher is promoting the specific learning skills that they want the children to learn but allowing them to run the classroom while giving them guidance. Every child has different ways of learning and a style in which they like to learn. The teacher must ensure they are reaching all of these different types of learning styles.
However, snitching is just a part of everyday school life. You will always have those students that will be more worried about others than themselves. When a student becomes more focused on getting others in trouble, there usually is an underlying issue. Therefore, the way to approach this form of misbehavior is to pull the student aside and talk to them. Remind them of the rules, and how to worry about themselves.
The cognitive strategies will help the person with intense anxiety to learn good coping skills, effective problem solving, and how to avoid the physiological distress in their life. The procedure should enable the therapist to treat the social disorder person in an effective way. These procedures will also help the social disorder people to learn how to use the cognitive behavior therapy to treat their anxieties. For example, incase of a child treatment, the therapist will teach the distress child the skills that are necessary for coping with his or her anxiety, from where the child will be given a chance to exercise the skills learned as they approach the more problematic situations that incite their distress
