Ways To Lead A Healthy Lifestyle These days, our lives are getting tenser. People live under the pressure of different problems and constantly suffer from stress, diseases and pollution. As students, we also face many challenges and have to cope with things such as lessons, exams, co-curricular activities and social events. So, we should be strong and healthy in order to accomplish our daily activities in our hectic lives. To achieve this, we ought to take good care of our physical and mental health. This can be done by leading a healthy lifestyle. The most important factor in leading a healthy lifestyle is to eat well by taking in nutritious and healthy food. Our bodies need sufficient nutrition to sustain our daily activities. A healthy menu should include food of different varieties, such as fibres, meat, fruits and vegetables. They are rich in carbohydrates, proteins and vitamins which are essential to maintain our health. Other than that, we should avoid eating innutritious food that includes junk food, fast food and carbonated drinks. They contain high levels of calories, sugar and salt that are bad for our health. Even local food such as fried noodles, fried rice and cakes are laden with fat and calories. Consuming these types of food on a daily basis can contribute to weight gain. Overweight and obese people suffer from many health complications, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and cancer. Apart from that, exercising is also vital in leading a healthy lifestyle. Numerous researches have shown that exercising makes our mind and body healthy. Exercising is also a good way to relieve stress. Therefore, we must make it a point to exercise for half an hour at least three times a week. A few examples of healthy sports are swimming, running and cycling. Lastly, to be healthy, we should not engage ourselves in harmful activities. It's
