The chemicals that are used to filter the tap water, such as, chlorine, lead and giardia, are toxic and it’s very dangerous for humans. The process of filtering the water strips out all the natural minerals that are found in the water, and our body needs it. While the bottled water is all natural resources, which means the natural minerals are still there. Also it feels like drinking water that its fresh and tasty.

Large amounts of chemicals like soap, detergents, fertilizers, pesticides, and pharmaceutical are often times discharged into fresh water aquifers almost daily. These contaminants leak into the soil in which it then dissolves into ground water. Different contaminants have different rates of solubility and degradation once they reach the underground water table, either by simple flow or by the downward movement of rain water. The ground water may become contaminated with both organic and inorganic substances which may include heavy metals like Cadmium, Chromium and Nickel, etc.

Two environmental problems caused by extensive plastic bag use are the chemicals that make the plastic bag and the way we dispose of them. Plastic bags are very dangerous to the environment. The plastic bag is made of toxic chemicals like xylene, ethylene oxide and benzene. Plastic bags are non-biodegradable which means these toxic harmful chemicals are putting people and the environment at risk. Because people don't dispose of the plastic bags properly they get into water ways which eventually affect the see life as well as all other animals and living organisms including plants.
This, in turn, can affect habitat quality for plants and animals that live downstream. Biodiversity may be lost if aquatic plants and animals cannot tolerate changing water conditions. When large volumes of water are pumped from a stream or river, water chemistry can change significantly with a drop in water level. Temperatures may rise and oxygen levels may drop, affecting aquatic species that don't have a wide tolerance. Biodiversity may also be reduced if invasive species, such as the zebra mussel or golden algae, are introduced into a waterbody during the drilling process.
I have learned that the use of toxic chemicals during the fracking process and the occurring release of toxic chemicals and radioactive materials during well processing is bad for the environment. Such as, Naphthalene, Xylene, Toluene, Methylbenzene, and Formaldehyde, are all known or suspected to be human carcinogens (Schmidt). Also Hydraulic fracking hurts the environment by the contaminating the water wells, and springs, in which many humans and animals drink from.
