Advertising Synthesis Essay The growth of media has paved the way for numerous outlets for advertising. Millions of people reading magazines, watching TV, listening to the radio and surfing the web are constantly bombarded with ads for different products or services. Although the creation of media has given us great power and knowledge, we see its consequences in our personal lives and in society as a whole. Advertising has altered the perception of wants versus needs, which has led to a significant change of the economy and its consumer capital. Whether many would prefer to admit or not, advertising has changed society- modifying the way Americans think and act in today's day and age, though not entirely for the better.
Media and Lifestyle The art on the silver screens transcended onto the clothing that woman wore to personify a certain independence. Woman felt stylish and sophisticated even under the unstable economic climate. Technicolor, colored film, was also breaking through, allowing audiences to see the colors that are in style for the season. The color champagne became a red carpet classic for Hollywood favorites such as Jean Harlow and Loretta Young (figs 1-2). Children’s fashion was influenced by what Shirley Temple would wear in her films (Chancey, fig 9).
She also has a line of clothing that says “I’m a survivor.” In 2007 she got an award for being designer of the Year. In 2009 she got a medal of honor for lifetime achievement in fashion. Betsey’s style can best be described as avant-garde. She uses absolutely everything in her designs. A few things she is famous for are her space age silvery
There are a ton of awesome songs in this movie, especially the song at the end. The costume design in this movie was also done very well. There were a lot of cool old vintage clothes in this movie. The outfits they chose for Juno were cool also because women say it is hard to look cute when you're pregnant but they make Juno look cute through her whole pregnancy. I liked her outfits in this movie.

Transformation, one of the main themes in Kafka’s novella, is an extremely common theme in contemporary media, as the change and journey of characters can be found as truly captivating. The theme of transformation can be found in different forms, from mental to physical, but human change is a fascinating topic for authors and screenwriters to explore. The interest and entertainment factor of human transformation has made change a timeless theme and results in countless contemporary echoes of literature like The Metamorphosis. Vince Flynn’s “Mitch Rapp” series of novels explores the transformation of a man that changes from a varsity student-athlete at Syracuse University to one of the CIA’s most valuable and talented assets.

In their films, Zeffirelli and Branagh both implement these remarkable traits to their films. As well as an insight to the gender roles of this period, these films also give an insight to the importance of sexuality at this time. In Romeo and Juliet, sexuality is explored from the young lover’s perspectives for the first time.
This album was a Landmark progressive album, and still is considered an outstanding hit. There are several songs from this album that really strike me as creative timeless hits. Three of my favorite songs from this album are; “Breathe”, “On the Run”, and “Money”. Their ability to use new and unique instruments for the time, to convey the storyline of life is incredibly thrilling to me. The songs feel very poetic for me, and have a certain timeless energy about them.
There is no doubt that the media influences our everyday lives. Consumerism and the modern ways of Western advertising is what drives our culture. This is evident within ourselves as well. We are constantly bombarded with harmful advertisements that have an impact on our body image. The media portrays very distinct and very firm representations of gender.
