Source H agrees with the view that the Holy Maid of Kent was important until 1533. It states that the “16 year old rocketed to national fame.” due to her visions that she had while suffering from a mental illness. This would have been likely in this period of time, as superstition and religion played a massive part in peoples lives and the sight of Virgin Mary would cause interest from major religious players in England and Europe. Despite her being portrayed as a crazy woman, it was highly possible that people would believe her. The Holy Maid of Kent was given an audience with Henry himself, in which he confirmed that her revelations were real and that he was convinced the maid was seeing the Virgin Mary herself.

Eostre, modernly known as Easter is the most relatable character in this book to most Americans, which is ironically named American Gods by Neil Gaiman. Eostre is the goddess of the dawn first, then of new beginning’s, fertility, and copulation. The intent of this goddess was not just because of what she symbolized, but of the fact that she is so well-known, yet people who celebrate Easter do not celebrate the Germanic goddess, but the Christian holiday. She is one of the few goddesses which appear in the book, making her not only a symbol for a goddess but a sex symbol among a book of all men characters. The Coronation of the Virgin Mary – Signorelli Luca This celebration of Mary's queenly dignity led to an image type in which Mary and Christ sit enthroned side by side, the Christ is lifting his right hand to crown his mother, and are flanked by two angels who represent those celestial legions. The pattern shows Mary kneeling at left, with her arms crossed on her breast, the Father seated between the Son and the Mary. The painting’s composition is based on an inverted triangle, giving a sense of great equilibrium and harmonious lines and reminiscent (both in its color and form) of a heart. The main figure is the Virgin Mary, with a modest, reverential and emotional expression, lowered eyes, a straight nose and curved lips. The sense that the inverted triangle is meant to refer to a heart is reinforced and the viewer's piety invoked by Mary pointing to her own heart.

The Votive Figures were created as a sign of their loyalty and devotion to god. The figures showed that their lives were devoted to worshipping a higher power, whereas Venus of Willendorf is made to represent women in their fertility period, showing their focus on human studies by signifying a healthy child bearing woman. Showing this type of art symbolizes the Paleolithic period’s fascination and fear of keeping the human species alive. In conclusion although Venus Of Willendorf and The Votive Figures From Tell Asmar proved to have many differences and similarities, each manage to convey something about their respective cultures and time periods. The appearance of the art pieces certainly related to that particular time, and made their sole interests exceptionally well
