“Ordeal By Cheque” By: Julia Baer There once was this lady named Meredith, and she was around 24 years old. She was 12 months pregnant. She also had a husband named Brad that was around the same age as her. One day they decided they needed to start buying baby products for their infant coming in a few weeks. They spent a good amount in the store but it was just because they weren’t prepared.

I never thought that I would be the teenager in high school who had to grow up a lot faster than the rest of my friends and fellow classmates. I had many dreams and goals I wanted to accomplish while being a teenager, but when I found out that I was expecting a baby my junior year in high school my dreams and goals were put on pause. I graduated high school my junior year. It was exactly one month before I had my wonderful son. My son Kaleb was born May 24 2008, and from that moment on I wanted to give him everything he deserves.
The Hero! My customer service hero is Jan at Wal-Mart in Woodburn. It was my youngest son’s first birthday and I made the mistake of going in last minute, two hours before the party, to pick out a cake. I had already been to the Wal-Mart in Salem and they had minimal options of cupcakes. So I chose to chance going into Woodburn without a cake and try the Wal-Mart there.
Every year late in November, Americans celebrate Thanksgiving; a holiday which one is thankful for the house they live in, clothes on their back, food on their plate and family who love them dearly. However, this famous holiday which only happens once a year started over four-thousand years ago with the Indians and Pilgrims. Most of us remember learning about Thanksgiving in grade school; the Pilgrims and Indians sitting down together enjoying a big feast and giving thanks for everything they had. However, in August 1620 before America was a colony, the Pilgrims set sail to find land for the New World landing in Plymouth, near Cape Cod. The Pilgrims had made it to the Massachusetts Bay!

Seniors pair up in twos or threes and are assigned one or two grade school kids, whom they then get to splurge on by buying lots of holiday gifts. That Saturday, my friends and I went out to Target and then came back to my house to wrap gifts. I don't have that great a skill of gift-wrapping, so the friend that did wrapped all the box-shaped gifts. That left me and my other friend to
REFLECTIVE ACCOUNT Yesterday I started my day at work at 7:30 as usual for an early shift. After I clock in the first thing I did was to take my bleep and sign for it. We were two carers and one unit manager on duty. I asked my unit manager if there are any changes before my handover and I headed to the kitchen to prepare the breakfast for our residents according to their specific breakfast list. After I came back with the trolley, me and my colleagues started to give the breakfast for everybody.
There was one thing that set them apart from their peers, they both desperately wanted children, but due to medical complications they could not reproduce themselves. After many months of consideration, they finally decided to adopt a child. The entire adoption process took about seven months. During that time the Dillard’s were preparing themselves for their first child. They did everything from reading parenting books to buying toys for their new son.
