Verbal VS. Electronic communication Communication is an interaction between people; it requires a sender, a message and a recipient. The process of communication is complete once the receiver understood the message. In todays World the most popular kinds of communication are verbal and electronic, both have their own advantages and disadvantages. Verbal communication occurs when people are interacting using sounds and words to express themselves. Verbal communication includes face-to-face discussions, speeches, television, radio, telephone conversations, seminars, videos etc. Our tone of voice, pronunciation, word choices are things we choose in order to deliver the message (5). Electronic communication is a transfer of information over large distances for the purpose of interaction with another person. The most popular sources for electronic communication are radio, phone, SMS, email and the Internet. It is hard to imagine our society without a cellphone, or a laptop, or someone searching for information without the Internet access (1). All these electronic communication sources were invented during past twenty years; but due to extreme convenience of using them in our everyday life, they became vital for our society. Verbal communication has many advantages; first of all it is cheap, it does not require any technology. It is the fastest and the most understandable way to interact with each other. Also during the verbal communication the speaker can use tone and emotions to make his/her message more important. On the other hand verbal communication has a few disadvantages; it can be quickly forgotten or poorly presented, which can result into misunderstanding and wrong responses.
