I would like to propose that I receive an Ipad, based on improvements seen in the schoolwork of other high school students with one, and on the differences it makes in ones lifestyle. First of all, there is a reason that schools all across the nation are equipping high school students with ipads. Thousands of study materials and aids are available through the device, with little to no hassle. All one has to do in order to purchase a textbook is to download it to the ipad, and often the virtual transaction is cheaper than the purchase of a tangible textbook. Informative videos and study aids are also available at the touch of a finger for students who struggle in certain subject.
With advancements in technology, some students have chosen to complete their schoolwork through the Internet, rather than in traditional classrooms. Those who support a traditional classroom approach to learning argue that it provides more of an opportunity for students to interact with the teacher and other students. Those who feel that learning over the Internet is better argue that it allows students to learn anytime and anywhere they choose. Do you feel education is better provided in traditional classrooms or when offered over the Internet? Write an essay to be read by a classroom teacher in which you persuade the reader that either traditional classroom education or Internet-based learning is better. With advancements in technology, some students have chosen to complete their schoolwork through the Internet, rather than in traditional classrooms.
I believe that with the many technological advances that have been made throughout history computers have made life easier. I believe that computers have changed the world, as a lot of things can now be done through computers. A person can find a computer everywhere – at school, at work, and at home. A lot of a person’s daily activities either involve the use of or depend on information from a computer. I believe the educational environment is one of the most important places where the computer is placed.

According to ECAR Study of Undergraduate Students and Information Technology, 86 percent of college students have laptops for educational purposes and 60 percent of students own smartphones. Many schools and other educational institutions are trying to adapt to technology to benefit and increase how and where people learn. Online learning is changing how people look at higher education. To think many years ago who would have thought that a person can get a degree sitting down at a computer with an internet connection.
With the thriving of the computer industry, it breeds a new term- computer literacy, computer literacy is an understanding of the concepts, terminologies and operations that relate to general computer use. It is the essential knowledge needed to function independently with a computer. This functionality includes the ability to solve and avoid problems, adapt to new situations, keep information organized and communicate effectively with other computer literate people. (Computer Literacy USA 2007 cited in Helen Mele p1). And it seems that the computer literacy is very important which particularly effect contemporary young people’s mental development.
12 Oct. 2011. This website article covers the computer technology available in classrooms today and how it effects the overall learning of the students. It focuses on the average classroom and the average number of computers available in those classrooms and how this provision of technology influences students. It also hints that there may be a lack of attention to student learning styles and a rush to provide classroom computers instead. This article might not be as valid as the other sources I have found.
There are many reasons to choose online and many reasons to choose traditional. There are some similarities to both, but there are also some differences. First off, there are benefits for going to school online and getting a degree. For example, working full time, raising a family and having a home, can be difficult to commute to school every day. By going to school online, you do not need to go to classes every day, and instead, you can access your homework from the school’s website.

A slideshow or even a video can be made and edited in a night and aired the next morning instead of weeks of sleepless night and allows changes what can be expected in a classroom and allow new ideas not to be ignored because of how difficult it would take to implement. Education with the newest technology does not make a teacher better, however it does give more resources to the teacher, and allows good teacher to be able to become great teachers. The ability to communicate with your students and to give them the ability to communicate with you is a asset that can be much harder without the instant telecommunication we have today. Not only does the wired world allow for instant transmission of ideas it also allows online motivation and a easier ability to keep students focused on there assignments by having a easy method of checking the assignments at home by not only the child but the teacher as well. This will also allow students to ask
Not any of those things could be done without the use of technology. Technology has given society many different ways to save time. A good example of how technology is improving would be in the educational setting. Years ago teachers did not have nearly as much benefits of technology that we do today. It probably took them twice as long just to get things done.
