Unsafe Working Conditions

Have you ever taken the time to stop and think about the working conditions you and your family work in everyday? How unsafe and unsanitary they are? Each and every day as we step foot into the factories, mills, or whatever your work place may be, a significant amount of people’s life are being put into danger due to the long work hours for such low pay, the dangerous machinery, the improper teaching of equipment, the painful conditions and how unsanitary the work places are. In today’s world, the conditions have gotten to the point where they are unbelievably bad. There are people getting hurt and killed every day so we need to put a stop to it now, and make working conditions better for everyone. First of all, the amount of hour’s young children, women, men, and immigrants work a week for such low pay is just mind blowing. There is so much time put in each week that it is getting to the point where the numbers of hours worked is unsafe. Not only that, but it is beyond ridiculous that these people are only getting paid 50-60 cents per hour for all the hard labor they do each day. Families that only bring an income of about 50-60 cents per day, only make 400-500 dollars a year, which is barely enough for their family to live off of. It is typical for men to work 10+ hours a day, six days a week. If you think that is a long time though, try being a young child or woman for a day. Young children and women work from sunrise to sunset, Monday thru Sunday, almost 15 hours a day. Remind you that they are doing brutal work for such a minimal amount. Next, there is dangerous machinery in every work place that many people have not been taught how to use the proper way. One main problem with this is that the men, women, small children, and immigrants working in the factories and mills are clueless on what their task really are, causing complications and leading to many
