E1 and E2 Statutory Sector The statutory sector is provided by the government and is a law, because of this the companies will usually be free to go to and any equipment or resources needed will be provided by that company or will be free from another company. They are usual paid for by tax, which anyone who is working in the UK (that makes over a certain amount of money per year) will pay for out of their wages which then the government will pay. The services include schools, doctors, dentists, financial support and more. The staff are fully trained with qualifications and get paid a wage for doing this. This supports children and their families by allowing them free access to important things that are needed in a child’s life to help them with the right education and health services they need. This will support any families that need to work throughout the day and need their child (3years+) to be looked after. An example of statutory sector is Arbourthorne Community Primary School. This is a school which provides free education for children aged 3-11 years old. This school is there to provide learning for everyone, no matter of their financial well-being. They offer many after school activities and after school clubs, although they do charge, if a family cannot afford these things but are in need of them the school with let them go free of charge under special circumstances. The school also provides free swimming lesson when they reach the age of 9 at a local leisure centre. The school have 8 core values which they stick to, if a child achieves one of these or shows that they can do it they get a sticker for it, after so many stickers they then get a badge.
