When I look on the menu, the way they have their food displayed is great. Every time I order something, I get something that does not look like what I saw on the menu. I know that my food is not going to look exactly like the menu, but let it look at least something like the menu. When you get food that looks totally different from what you saw and the waiter is trying to convince you that it is the same order, then it is a problem. All I am saying is let the presentation on the menu look somewhat like the food that they are serving you.
Encourage the individual to select suitable options for food and drink You should try to encourage the individual to maximise their own potential and independence by doing as much for themselves as possible. This can ensure that their choices are being heard and you are not forcing your own ones on them. The aid of pictures and cards plus your own knowledge on food is also good as this help them to want to choose different foods. It is important to understand the individual’s eating habits and suggest foods that are part of the food wheel that works alongside what they like to eat. 3.

It is therefore important that you examine your own attitudes and values to consider how these may impact on the way you work with children and young people. Children listen intently to others around them, both adults and other children and soak up all information given to them. The school must make sure that the children are surrounded with positive messages about their peers and their own importance in society. All children are individuals and have individual rights; however they are not the same. It is the policy, currently, to include all children in mainstream education so long as the curriculum can be adapted to suit an individual pupils needs.
