Unemployment rates are still at unsatisfactory levels, expectations remain low among consumers, and consumer income is also lower than satisfactory. Although, current interest rates remain low it is believed that more needs to be done to ensure an economic rebound remains within grasp. The following represents recommended changes needed to ensure United States Citizens do not suffer more than they already have. The economy is considered to be very unstable at the current time, and it is the duty of the United States government to do everything in their power to once again stabilize the once booming economy for the sake of the entire country and its citizens.
An example of this would be when a customer is not able to pay their bill because due to a downturn in the economy, money may be tight if they have been laid off from their jobs or faced with unexpected hospital bills. Under the direct write-off method, companies record bad debts expense in a period that is different from the period in which they record the revenue. The method does not attempt to match bad debts expense to sales revenues in the income statement. The direct write-off method show accounts receivable in the balance sheet at the amount the company actually expects to receive. A recession is the part of the business cycle which is characterised by falling levels of demand, very little investment, low business confidence and rising levels of unemployment. It is neither as long lasting nor as severe as a depression. A recession is two successive declines in quarterly gross domestic product. A recession provides extremely harsh conditions for businesses to survive in, in order to survive a recession businesses have to adopt strategies that they believe are they best way for them to see through the recession and continue to make a profit on the other side. One strategy that a business can implement is to cut costs.
Businesses also suffer when massive layoffs occur. When spending by households decreases, incomes decrease for the businesses. Governments are not immune from the effects of massive layoffs of employees either. When households spend less, and businesses are selling less, there is less sales tax to be collected by the government. Also, when employees are laid off there is less income tax to be collected and to make things even worse, former employees can collect unemployment benefits from the government.
Some of the current sources of stress for the criminal justice professional are, long hours and not enough family time with loved ones. I do believe that the agencies provide adequate assistance with managing occupational stressors; they are just not explored and used enough by the individuals that need them. I say that because it seems that if you are wealthy strings can be pulled for you and u can afford the best lawyers, and u could be guilty but you will get off because you or your family are well off. On the other hand there that middle class of poor that knows nothing about the system or doesn’t have the resources to get a good lawyer they are screwed completely ruin your life and affecting some people around you.
