This made the reader want to keep reading to find out what happens. I also liked the shocking ending of the book, which I am not allowed to tell you. The story takes place on a deserted island where the pirates hunt for treasure, and in a city where pirates buy and trade gold and weapons. It talks about 3 characters that join a pirate crew to go search for riches. Jim, Dr. Livesly, and Long John Silver, the three main characters, meet on the dock. Jim is a little 12 year old boy. He is the crew's cabin boy. He lives in a hotel in the pirate city with his mom. Dr. Livesly is the crew's medic. He helps injured crew members. Long John Silver is a mean, ruthless pirate who wants to kill all the crew and take the treasure for himself. He has only has one leg, and a couple of missing fingers. The pirates embark on their journey towards Treasure Island. When they get there, they establish camp. They followed a map that Long John Silver had, leading them to the treasure site. They pinpointed the location and started digging. They found a chest. A fight ensues. I encourage you to read the book to find out what happens next. I guarantee that you will love
