Companies spend billions of dollars on transportation, so there is good reason to examine the transportation processes and regulations. A properly resourced transportation environment presents a unique chance to maximize economic value within transportation interactions. The mission of an organizations’ logistics service provider is, understanding what a customer is trying to do, and providing the resources to support their success (Bowman 2010). The job of a transportation logistics manager is characterized by time spent reducing economic impacts, mitigating effects on the environment and pursuing the perfect order. Proper transportation resource allocation can present an exclusive chance for enhancing operations and aggrandizing value. It can also employ precious time, money, and energy. Unsuitable transportation allocation will cause a decline in an organization standing legally and socially. It will also have noticeable negative impacts on customer relationships.
