Over the years women have fought long and hard to be able to obtain and maintain legal rights and privileges that the male gender is born into. Females were molded and primed to play the part as an obedient wife and mother with instruction that your thoughts and opinions are kept to yourself. The perseverance of brave women helped today’s generation of women such as myself have the same equal rights as that of men. With all things you must have a burning passion in the pit of your belly to want to advance and defeat the injustice of this world. In order to put laws into effect there must be a group of people who all agree that new laws should be implemented because of majority vote.
However, the rights which were won seemed to exclude women. Many women did not like this and they wanted to be equal to men and they fought their own war of independence to receive that right. It started off small, but eventually grew into a big movement. Many average women would be remembered as someone great and their names would shine throughout history. One of these women was one known as Susan Brownell Anthony.
An Under famed Rhetorician Rhetoric has been through many stages, from early Greek origins to modern day theory. It has shaped societies and has transformed civilizations round the globe. Due process states that we must accredit those who have contributed to rhetoric along the way. An area of rhetoric I feel that has not been explored enough is the contribution that women have added throughout time; particularly the renaissance period. Due to the limited amount of resources and the restrictions laid upon women for practicing rhetoric, it is astonishing how many women were still able to make a significant impact on the field of rhetoric which I feel has paved the way for women’s liberations rights today.
In fact, women’s power can be unstoppable. It might be the result of centuries of ignorance and indifference towards women’s capacities, as it might be an inborn nature. However, the woman revolution is starting to break the wall of racism and discrimination, proving that a woman can be equal to a man in all domains: politics, society affairs, business, medicine, legal affairs and others. Few years ago, in the occidental
She was given this award by the International Court System, one of the oldest and largest predominantly gay organizations in the world, and the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force. Conway is one of the first truly successful transgendered persons to come out of long-term secrecy and tell her story, and that story should give hope to young transsexuals. It should help parents see possibilities for happiness for a transsexual daughter-to-be, especially if they were to support their child's efforts to transform a "boy's" body and become a woman early enough in life. It should also give employers pause for thought before firing someone - just because of their transsexualism. The day will come when gender transition is no longer be seen as a sad, somewhat shameful and tragic event, but instead as a wonderful life-giving miracle for those so unfortunate as to have been mis-gendered at birth.
American society for a long time now tried to keep the gender status at an equal level, but if either side can learn to no confine themselves to such extreme guidelines then there will come a greater sense of accomplishment. In our culture, gender roles have become blended with many disregarding the gender they are give or refusing the role associated with their gender, but we still have a concept of what feminine and masculine imply to due to our society’s expectations for women to be women and men to be men. In “Veiled Intention: Don’t Judge a Muslim Girl by Her Covering” and “Becoming Members of Society: Learning the Social Meanings of Gender” by Aaron H. Devor both illustrated how Americans are so judgmental on image and gender roles. It is ok to thin that you should not be judged based on appearance alone, but America
Each of these treaties protected and promoted the rights of women in areas in which the Commission considered such rights to be particularly vulnerable. But it was believed that, except in those areas, women's rights were best protected and promoted by the general human rights treaties (www.un.org). This was a great day for the United Nations for the women they had finally got it out their that women's right and issues are a big deal and that the world needs to take notice. In the article I read about the UN taking notice is said in the article “EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT THE CLAIM THAT THE UN NOW TAKES SERIOUSLY women’s issues, gender equality, and the representation of women in all areas of society, including the UN and its leadership, appears to be rich and varied. In his annual report on the workings of the United Nations, Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has repeatedly raised the issue of women, women’s equality, and the prevention of violence against women and girls, In 2009 the Convention on the
Womens suffrage synthesis paper. Women have always been under suffrage from the superior male empowerment. they endure depression of rights such as voting and freedom of speech, the thought of women having such straightforward authority to do the bare bone basic in nationalistic movement of voting and cary an impact on our developed country is profound even today in the eyes of a man. people in general can ignore womens suffrage all they desire but it is sure to catch up to any who oppose it, the accusation that women ask to much of the present society almost as if they want more then they need, all together the men have stronger thought towards why women need to be relieved of there freedom. Women are always becoming more independent as time moves on, starting with only a few fighting for freedom to many thousands of women protesting for there rights.
Political issues remain with equality of lifestyle and rights. Women are struggling with equal wages and opportunity and gays with marriage and health benefits. There have been many accomplishments and as a minority and subordinate, there are still many more issues to clean
Women have a broad history in this country. Great strides in civil rights have been reached by women in collective efforts over time. Today women have nearly every right of any human being in the United States with exception of those in prisons. As of lately, many women are beginning to feel as if some of those liberties are being taken away. Much of the question of particular rights are under fire are coming from religious perspectives.
