Compare and contrast the four differences in learning styles. Propose ways a trainer can help each type of learner. Some form of training usually takes place in most work place environments. Training ranges from hands on experience to studying a procedural manual or viewing online media for information. Even though, workplaces have different employees, with different learning styles. To maintain the best learning atmosphere where employees work, trainers should know the different types of learning and the best method of approach for each employee. The model discussed in the textbook is the Felder-Silverman model. The Felder-Silverman model has four different dimensions (Blanchard and Thacker, 2010). • Sensing versus Intuitive Learning • Visual versus Verbal Learning • Active versus Reflective Learning • Sequential versus Global The sensing learner is substantial, practical, and inclined to facts and procedures.
