Writing: For and Against composition With the rise of traffic levels, some authorities are banning traffic from driving through city centres. Some would suggest that it is such the amount of people which come to the town centre that it would be a good way to reduce vehicles. But there are groups of people who consider it would not bring a solution to this problem and there are other strategies to consider. There are clearly many advantages to reduce the traffic in the town. The most important one, is the fact that air pollution will be reduced drastically especially in the peak hours. For example, cars in a traffic jam can spend hours to reach a few kilometres. It implies a great amount of burned oil and smoke in the air. What is more the noise will decrease, which is known to have enormous benefits to our quality of life and health. In fact it would make the streets safer for pedestrians and everyone would use more public transport. There is, however, another side to the picture. Some shop owners totally disagree with this measure because it is in detrimental of their business and commerce. They claim the fact that people would not be interested in buying things if they no longer pass in front of their windows and feel the necessity of buying things. Another consideration is the fact that some minority groups of people, but not less important, such is the case of elderly people and the disabled would not deal with their own matters. In the case of bank issues sometimes they need to go in person in order to solve some problems so what will they do? Is the bank to go for them? And in the case of those who use wheelchair, pregnant mothers? To sum up, it is true to say that city centre is overcrowded of vehicles, people and necessities. However, this type of regulation shows that the government has not made a serious plan of organization and decentralization
