I think the humanistic-encouraging trait is important because like any other leader, people must trust you, set goals that are attainable, learn how to resolve issues in a constructive manner, and encourage your followers. I enjoy listening to people’s problems and helping them think positive and find the healthiest or best solution. I am normally the person my friends come to when they need to talk to someone. I believe as a manager a person must have a sense of how a person is and deal with each person individually if needed so each person as an understanding of what is the mission is. Controlling as a manager is something I believe I will have to work on.
Dr. Naeger would have been the type of person to truly care about his students and help them however he could. He would have made his students feel successful, smart, and valued. He may have even been a father type figure to some. The woman bringing the flower to place in his lapel is a testament to the love that people still feel for this not to be forgotten mentor. Dr. Naeger is proof that you don’t have to be perfect to be remembered and honored.
Instead the company disciplined yet not the warehouse employees she was speaking with. The company took no measures to help fix the poor performance of an excellent employee whose work declined at a rapid pace instead they made changes to her work to that would directly cause her performance to suffer. Fortin was praised for her work only months before
Being that this is a customer service duty, providing quick and skilled service in a professional way is a main factor. Being pleasant, respectful, and active is a good way to represent myself and God. Because I would only treat someone the way I would want to be treated. By giving them my upmost respect and undivided attention. Something that I have always been taught growing up.
Some of the values I live my life by are respect, honesty, being non-judgemental, hard working and grateful. I always try to treat people the way that I would like to be treated. These values were instilled in me by my parents, especially my mother. Alfred Adler claims that the first six years of life are the most important influence on what kind of adult the individual will become. I relate to his theory because I
They were able to teach me study skills, and specially how to still in my seat. We worked very hard at maintaining my concentration, and when I failed, they would redirect my attention back to whatever task I was doing. I started trusting my teacher in their performance and patience. The positive experience, I received from my sixth grade teachers had an effect on my negative thoughts from my elementary experiences. By the time I finished the sixth grade I was ready for the seventh and eighth grade, Jr. High School.
In high school I was in the future educators association. As well as the class that was involved in the group. We went to schools in our area and helped the teachers and helped us decide if teaching was right for us. This meant that we had to make lesson plans, keep peace and order in classroom, as assist students when help was needed. This was a very pleasant and unforgettable experience for me and my fellow classmates.
As a new employee other associates like to talk to me to get a sense of who I am. This particular day an associate begins talking to me about our assistant manager. I do not agree with gossiping because it always leads to a misunderstanding; however, I listened. I never contributed to the conversation; however, it got back to the assistant manager that two employees were talking about her in a negative manner. Lucky for me, another employee was there to witness that I never said anything negative.
I also learned the true value of education. My advice to you would be to learn well, so you can get a good and stable job to support your own families when the time comes. No matter how bad a time seems, never give up hope. Hope was what carried me through the depression, and what essentially saved my family and
I knew I couldn’t handle the stress then because my family was demanding to much of my time. I would discuss with my husband that I wanted to one day be supervisor of business services and he would always say to me do you think you can handle the pressure and responsibility that come with it. I really didn’t understand what he was saying then; I just thought he was trying to talk me out of it. I decided to go for it and apply for the supervisor position that came up at my job. I knew I was skilled qualified for the position but I wasn’t degree qualified for the position.
