We need to vote and choose and also encourage others to vote and choose as well. We need to advocate for the children and education, as the children have the most to lose. Childcare workers state that the number one reason that they stay in their job is because of the love of the children. In the PowerPoint, the information on advocating for education and children is given. Why should we advocate, the goal of early childhood advocacy is to improve the lives of infants and toddlers, their families, and our community by influencing legislators and policy makers opinions, decisions and actions concerning early childhood.
This involved the support of parents, foster parents, authorities, youth activities and youth justice as well as policy makers and teachers. Policies were set out to reduce the number of children who experience educational failure, engage in anti-social behaviour, ill-health and teen pregnancies. Task 1b Five key themes have been identified by children as being the areas which mattered the most to them: * Economic well-being – not being prevented from achieving their full potential in life as a result of economic disadvantage * Making a positive contribution – being involved in the community and society and not engaging in anti-social or offending behaviour * Enjoying and achieving – getting the most out of life and developing the skills for adulthood * Staying safe – being protected from harm and neglect * Being healthy – enjoying good physical and mental health and living a healthy lifestyle The paper set out to; support families/carers in raising children, to inject necessary intervention before crisis point and prevent children from ‘slipping through the net’, address the underlying issues such as weak accountability and poor integration and also to value the

This has me questioning, were the right people entering the profession for the right reasons? I know throughout my training, I will work extremely hard to become the social worker the children deserve and need. With more caring, altruistic and dedicated people coming into the profession we can minimise the deaths and risks of children when under our intervention. Working with vulnerable children will be assiduous,
Safeguarding legislation and government guidance indicates that safeguarding aims to protect children from maltreatment, it also states that safeguarding aims to ensure that children are growing up in the correct circumstances with the most effective care. “The action we take to promote the welfare of children and protect them from harm – is everyone’s responsibility. Everyone who comes into contact with children and families has a role to play” (HM Government 2013). The Local Government sets out as part of the Children’s Act (2004) to safeguard children in the way that the roles and responsibilities have to follow a strict guidance of the Working Together to Safeguard Children act (2006). Safeguarding helps improve the care of a service user in the way that organisations which includes schools, sports
And censor ship protects against sexism and racism. We are all familiar with the saying of children are future leaders. Many folks have devoted their time to molding the futures of many children. Media censorship aims to protect them against sexism, racism and segregation. That way children are raised well and with admirable social values.
Although it will be a big change for your child and yourself, it will give your child many benefits as well as your child adding a beneficial role in the class for other children and teachers. In my opinion as well as the opinion of many education experts such as Diane Lea Ryndak and her colleagues who wrote an article called, Defining School Inclusion for Students with Moderate to Severe Disabilities. “Inclusive classrooms are best for everyone, this type of atmosphere add to a schools culture, respect and belonging.”(Ryndak) I am a firm believer that inclusive education provides opportunities to learn about and accept individual differences, lessening the impact of harassment and bullying, while preparing our children for different accouters and all walks of life when they become productive citizens. You can find more about Ryndak and her colleague’s article at http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1207/s15327035ex0802_2#.VDZHSRawR_J. You may ask yourself if it’s really important to add your son to an inclusive classroom setting, I can’t explain to you enough of how important this can be for him.
The reason for these policies are to promote positive behaviour and all schools have policies on : • Behaviour • Bullying • Child Protection • Equal Opportunities As a TA it is our responsibility to find out about the role of staff, rewards and sanctions and training. To develop a harmonious learning environment appropriate rules, need to be established and enforced, behaviour plans and most importantly pupils to be involved in the process. I feel if learners understand why rules are important then there is a greater chance that they will follow these rules. Rogers 1998, 1995 ''Shared rights, shared responsibilities and shared rules'. At Parkway Primary School a lot of verbal praise is given and I have done this many
• Sure Start – Sure Start aims to work with parents to promote intellectual, social and physical development of babies and other young children. They do this by offering family support, health care and advice alongside play sessions for the children. • National Curriculum – This is aimed to reduce the social class differences because everyone is taught the same subjects which is perceived to give the same equal chances across the board. 3) Using materials from item A and elsewhere, assess the importance of cultural factors in causing social class differences in educational achievement. Pupils in education from a working class background (a pupil whose background includes a far more manual job) have a tendency to underachieve in education compared to pupils in education from a middle class background (one from a nonmanual background).
Delfinio I. Velasquez Professor: Tami Comstock Eng- 80-32544 3/26/2013 How Autonomy should be used with Parenting Parents want what is best for their kids, but what they think is best for their kids depends on what parents think an ideal adult looks like as a whole. Daniel H. Pink in Drive analyzes how authentic motivation and autonomy are required for children potential to be preserved. Parents should use more autonomy as much as they can to let their children feel that they are controlling their own life. This will increase their motivation in many areas and gain more confidence to achieve better grades in school. Allowing children to be able to think independently and create their own behavior can be an effective way to allow for more autonomy, improving their motivation in many areas and get the confidence to achieve better grades in school.
