Data Collection Methods Used in Research Data collection methods include identifying the problem and determining if fixing the problem will benefit more than leaving the problem alone. Selection of a study group is the second step. The study group needs to be critical to provide proper decisions. The task force needs to include people from all departments of the company. The focus groups will focus on basic discussions tailored around the findings in the questionnaire and auditing processes. The advantages and disadvantages for this form of assessment have already been covered in the organizational analysis. They will be similar here. It will be used to further determine where employees feel they may be the strongest or weakest with regards to HIPAA laws and compliance. The three forms of assessment used will provide the management group, T & D staff and HIPAA SME with the information necessary for them to formulate an accurate picture of the deficiencies that exist in current HIPAA practices, which will in turn be used to outline some of the desired outcomes of the training
Teams can use the 4Rs Method to analyze the conflict logically, which will lead to finding an appropriate approach to solving issues at hand. After analyzing the problem teams can chose between several approaches, which include the A-E-I-O-U Model, negotiation, mediation, and arbitration. The A-E-I-O-U Model is based on specific steps that help group members reach a consensus decision. Furthermore, group members’ concerns are taken into consideration and understanding them is mandatory in finding a viable solution. The steps in the A-E-I-O-U Model include: a) assume that the other members mean well; b) express one’s feelings; c) identify what one would like to have happen; d) outcomes one expects are made clear; and e) understanding on a mutual basis is achieved.
I aim to define the role of my chosen individual (MHW), examine the communication styles I used and the reasons for using this style of communication. I will also explore alternative styles of communication that could possibly achieve a different outcome. I will examine how I felt in this situation and whether I could empathise with those feelings and the behaviour type demonstrated. I will explore the theory behind communication behaviour (verbal and non verbal) and how the mental health workers behaviour impacted on the whole scenario. I shall look back on what I have learnt from the role-play in terms of communication styles, and how self-awareness and being conscious of how my actions could impact in similar situations, can impact upon effective communication and building inclusive relationships.
Cause and Effect Analysis was originally developed as a quality control tool, but you can use the technique just as well in other ways. For instance, you can use it to: * Discover the root cause of a problem. * Uncover bottlenecks in your processes. * Identify where and why a process isn't working. Step 1: Identify the Problem First, write down the exact problem you face.
Lastly, the feelers decide in a personal, value oriented way and want to know how the decision will affect the people involved. The Z problem solving model capitalizes on the strengths of the four preferences. By working through the different cognitive styles in order – S, N, T, and F - and utilizing all of them, the group will maximize their problem solving abilities. A diverse group of the cognitive preferences and pairings will allow the group to have more perspectives represented. Thus, better decisions will be made and implemented.
HRM 509 ORGANISATIONAL CHANGE ASSIGNMENT No 2 INTRODUCTION The purpose of this assignment is to explain the importance of the implementation stage of a major planned organisational change. It will also discuss and evaluate the implementation stage, theoretical underpinnings and why some people resist change. The second part of the assignment will outline three major categories of change intervention and will briefly discuss two selected change interventions identifying strengths and weaknesses and theoretical bases. The final stage will discuss some political factors which need to be taken into consideration in managing change. These stages are essential components of the change process if they are to be successful and will be presented to management within my unit, the RAAF Security and Fire School, as a comprehensive report in an attempt to assist the current re-organising and changes which need to be implemented within the next twelve months.
Qualitative and Quantitative Studies in Special Education Jeanantry Henderson RES/351 August 16, 2014 Darron Williams Introduction This research paper will compare and contrast qualitative and quantitative designs. The strengths and weaknesses of the designs will be outlined. How the designs can be used most effectively in a combined approach. Last, the method that is used for research in business on a daily basis. The Qualitative and Quantitative Design Qualitative research can be done for multiple purposes, however, these might be condensed to fit the National Research Council’s categories of producing descriptive or procedural knowledge; that is, answering questions about “what is happening?” and “why or how it is happening?” (Shavelson & Towne, 2002, p. 99).
