In this way, the Tripitaka is very significant to adherents of Buddhism as it provides a clear set of expectations of the adherent of the religion as well as providing a guide to the teachings of Buddha. An example of this can be seen through a quote of the text (see appendix A), where it explains how Tanha is the cause of Dukkha. Many similar explanations are seen throughout the Tripitaka. The Tripitaka is also a very significant text as it represents the connection between the present monks and adherents of Buddhism to those of the past. This is significant to adherents of the religion as the text ensuring that the essence and facts of Buddhism do not alter over time, as they are clearly written within the Tripitaka.
Buddhists Just Go Simply Buddhism is influenced in the lives of Buddhist adherents and communities through the teachings of the Lord Buddha, which is a set of ethics and codes set upon that Buddhists must follow, and the XIVth Dalai Lama. Buddhists just go simply as an enlightented form of life to whom have a spiritual awareness that everything is seen to be impermanent and that all experiences are an illusions. Buddhism is a well known and worshipped religion all over the world; it is a large part of culture and society particularly in south-eastern Asian countries. Firstly their are the three jewels of Buddhism; the three jewels are the Buddha, the Dharma and the Sangha, all jewels are inter-related. The first jewel ‘the Buddha’ is known by budhhists to be seen an enlightened human being.
However, in Fahrenheit 451 Beatty describes conformity as a positive aspect of society – he argues that conformity in behavior prevents violence and jealousy by restricting the gifted and talented people from their ability to excel, which is good in a way because then the others won‘t feel bad. However, the real problem in the situation Beatty describes is not the exceptionally bright child (when he is trying to show Montag the uselessness of books) but the group of people of those who submit to it. Unfortunately, this very situation occurs repeatedly in our society today. People who choose not to conform may be persecuted by the groups of people who submit into censorship, and through that act of persecution the people reinforce conformity of
Daoist stressed what their leader Laozi named, 'the way' and thought that with a restrained and balanced life one could ultimately reach a full understanding of and unity with the universe. Buddhists did not, they believed that throughout the meditation and improvement of one's inner balance a person could achieve a higher state of being for each lifetime reincarnated. For Daoists, balance and harmony with nature was simply a way of finding the path to ascension into a more ultimate ending of being with the world. Buddhists progressed constantly thought many lives improving, until 'Buddha' or meaning “awakened/enlightened one.” Daoism focused on a stipulation of “doing nothing,” which did not refer to inaction but instead to the natural flow which is continuous and perfectly synchronized and in balance. Buddhists achieved their end path after all suffering was endured and one has come in control of every action and thought, only then could the ultimate happiness and paradise in nirvana be reached.
by trying to explain the phenomenon, it takes time in the consciousness to adapt to the positive idea (He is going off to a better place), relieving us from that unhappy condition in which we encounter. While our happiness gets momentarily disturbed, we assimilate the idea at our own pace. With this, we can be sure that even with the toughest situations that we can be facing, our happiness will get us back to normal when we assimilate the idea. Giving space to other kind of feelings than happiness is a good idea because will improve our sense of the psychological immune system. Given that we will be experiencing multiple feelings, thus our perception of the psychological immune system will be
It must be learned only for oneself. Siddhartha also asks the Buddha who taught him and what he has learned and how he came to be so enlightened. The Buddha had no teacher himself, and his knowledge came through meditating and experiencing the world. This is the knowledge that Siddhartha wishes to have. The Buddha sends his blessing and hopes that Siddhartha has chosen wisely by refusing to escape from suffering and by choosing his own path.
A Pure Minds Work The mind is a temple, it is pure, but only until it absorbs the influences of other minds. Sharing ones temple will not make them impure, but once they do, they will no longer keep in them the self. In a society where there is much to live up to, one often forgets who they are and what their meaning is .When interaction begins, the inner-self slowly fades. To restore the blemishes marked upon oneself, one has to work their way to find that inner-self and once again sustain purity. A child’s mind before it has been corrupted by the world is perhaps the most flawless state.
I had hoped that as time went on people could have learned to better themselves and become more independent. Sadly that is not the reality that I am now faced with. Now just like any other time people know unjust laws exist; shall they be content to obey them, or shall they endeavor to amend them, and obey them until they have succeeded, or shall they transgress them at once? All men should ask themselves these questions when dealing with the laws of their government. A government in which the majority rule in all cases cannot be based on justice, this is a lesson that still must be learned by people now.
It's very important for us to take care of our own, without helping those who are in need here, we are doing a disservice to our own people. I would argue that our society would have the ability to do both. We don't need to be the policemen of all of the world's problems, but we do need to make sure we are making the world a better place. All politicians campaign on the notion that we are using our military, power, and wealth to create a better place for all and what better way to let this be shown then by helping those who are less fortunate in foreign countries. I feel our government and fellow citizens can do much more to help.
Depending on the education, the citizens receive they will use their power and the country's power in either a good way or a bad way. If people learn about countries helping each other out and being peaceful, then they will most likely do the same when they are in power. Of course there are a few times when this isn't the case. For a country to be positive they have to learn that being positive is the best way to be. They can learn about countries that used their power to do bad things but they need to see that in history it has never worked out and will not help the country out in the long run.
