Douche bags use it, your kids use it, your mail man uses it, and your fucking dog uses it. If you got swag, you generally wear those shitty hats side way, and your ass hanging out like a fucking goof cause your pants are half way down your white ass legs. To break down the word, it means (Secretly We Are Gay). It is also a word that means to represent yourself/ the way you represent yourself, baggy clothes, shitty hats, small penis and basically a way to say your afraid to come out of the closet. The most used word in the whole fucking
How does Martin portray the character of Manon and her attitudes up until the time of her Mother’s death? In the opening pages, Manon repeatedly refers to her husband as “him”, which is shown in the 3rd person pronoun which gives the impression that he has no respect and she has no respect for him, therefore he has not been given a name. This shows that Manon has a negative attitude towards her husband as she believes he does not deserve a name as he is unworthy due to the treatment he has given Manon. As a result, this leads people to believe that there is no love between Manon and her husband because if he was given a name it would show a loving connection. Therefore, I believe Manon hates her husband.
For most of the novel, Amir attempts to deal with his guilt by avoiding it. However, doing this clearly does nothing toward redeeming himself, and thus his guilt lasts. He watches Hassan get raped by Assef and says and does nothing to stop it. Then to make matters worse he is cruel toward Hassan. He beats him, he throws pomegranates at him, he is no longer willing to be his friend even though that is the only thing in the world Hassan wants and needs after his horrific experience.
But within the four walls of the brother officer’s head, the reader discovers that her son did the complete opposite and was considered a ‘cold-footed - useless swine.’ This is an emotive technique used to make the reader shocked and angry that he’d lie about the loss of the mother’s son then think about him in such a negative and disrespectful way as if his passing didn’t matter. Through the representation of the mother losing
An example of this is in act 1.3 where Shylock describes what Antonio has called him, ‘You call me misbeliever, cut-throat dog, And spit upon my Jewish gabardine.’ To an Elizabethan this would have been seen as acceptable and as amusing that Antonio had called Shylock these names. We see another scene where racism would have been viewed as amusing with Portia and Morocco when Morocco has failed to pick the correct box. ‘A gentle riddance. Draw the curtains, go. Let all of his complexion choose me so’.
The mistreatment towards Jew's especially. Christian's like Antonio repeatedly refer to Shylock, the Jew, as a devil, or a dog. When it comes to Portia's suitors, she is very intolerant, and shows prejudice against many cultures. Black people, Europeans, etc. The main prejudice is against Jew's though.
His frequent mentions of the cruelty he has endured at Christian hands make it hard for us to label him a natural born monster. Paragraph 2 – Themes Love- Bassanio and Portia, is it true love? (“Richly left” or maybe Antonio and Bassanio Friendship- Bassanio and Antonio’s strong friendship, could it be love? Lorenzo, “My Purse, My Person”Gratiano, and how they view Bassanio as towards Antonio Revenge Shylocks phrase ‘a pound of flesh’, taking the oppourtunity to “Bound” Antonio Hate: In Shylock’s very first appearance, as he conspires to harm Antonio, his entire plan seems to be born of the insults and injuries Antonio has inflicted upon him in the past Religious Discrimination: Jews and Christians, Jews get no erspect from christians. Tension between religion.
Wild claims have been made that I am somehow to blame for the death of Juliet Capulet, the Prince’s cousin, Paris and my own dear, beautiful son, Romeo Montague. As a mother I am completely distraught by the idea that I would ever harm my only son, my gentle young man. My family has always been the one family, the good family doing the right thing for Verona. My family is grieving and now I too face punishment, even death as retribution for this tragedy? I knew absolutely nothing of this entire encounter before it was too late!
He spat on Shylock (a Jew) just because he is Jewish. He doesn’t like him because of his beliefs and that makes him very prejudice. Just because Shylock does not believe in the same thing as Antonio, it does not give him the right to be rude and judge Shylock. Antonio also said, “Content in faith. I’ll seal to such a bond, And say that there is much kindness in a Jew.” (I, iii, 150-151).
Then Gertrude, his mother, marries his uncle, Claudius, only months after his father’s sudden death, which compounds Hamlet’s pain. He loathes her and laments: “Let me not think on’t! Frailty, Thy name is woman” (i.ii.146). He retreats into a spiral of misery and suicidal thoughts and is unable to separate his emotions from any semblance of rational thought. He does not reveal his feelings to anyone, which again, sets the stage for what is to come.
