In recent years, eating outside the home in fast food joints or restaurants has become a popular habit because people are busier and do not have time to wast cooking anymore. Restaurants offer many interesting options for meals, and people usually opt for this alternative because it is “easier” to have a good meal in a short period of time. But, are people considering all the benefits they are not losing by not eating at home? People should attempt to eat at home more often because it is cheaper, healthier and more comfortable than eating out. In the first place, eating at home is cheaper because people have more control of their food expenses. For example, imagine people want to have some spaghetti with red sauce for lunch. People have two options to accomplish their pasta desire: eating at a restaurant, like Olive Garden, or eating at home. A savings of four dollars! This simple example shows that by the end of the month people will have a huge different in their spending. While restaurant prices will stay the same, people can make smart purchases at the supermarket by buying things in larger amounts to save money.
