Manager is the person who plans, organize, lead and ensure results are obtained for the organization. Manager will play 10 basic roles as follow: Manager will play a Figurehead role in an organization and he will be the one who all staffs looked upon. He will be a role model and the person who guide the organization to her goals. I am not always being look up as a figurehead in terms of guiding the team, executing management instructions. In my opinion, I am being looked up as an approachable leader, who will render assistance and advice to others. There is good and bad for such leader which is being mentioned in the presentation. There must be a balance between good and bad guy. All the times, Manager will need to lead the team / organization and ensure that things are done and in the procedure that an organization has in place. Manager is also the Leader of the team that provides directions to the rest. I tend to follow emotions rather than hard and straight procedures. This is a dangerous and negative mindset. Rules are meant to be follow and there is no leeway for any bends. In daily work of a Manager, he needs to communicate with internal and external customers. Manager will be the liaison to different department across the organization. He will be the person that the organization goals and customers expectation are communicated across each other. I feel I am quite strong in this area. The only point that I lack is ensuring that instructions communicated is implemented and followed closely. Manager needs to monitor the performance of his team so as to provide training if a particular staff is lacking in any area; provide counseling to staffs that have problem in work and also motivate staffs that is facing a rough patch I am strong in counseling and motivating staffs when they are facing rough patch. I am able to resolve most of their problems
