E) However, I disagree, advertisements are informative to our daily lives; without them our world would probably fall apart. They do just more than promote a product; an advertisement helps wage for jobs, educate people, and also explains how to make our lives better.

But people say that they are not portrayed positively in the media and keep criticizing on the TV shows or films about some negative images of engineers, worrying that this would cause bad effects on the perception of engineers. After my study on the topic, I conclude that engineers are portrayed more positively in the media than most people believe and there are not too much relation between the portrayal from the media and their perception in people’s minds. Admittedly the survey I made cannot be very comprehensive and the tenor of my view can be exploratory.

Finally, people of our current culture are selfish in the sense that they take opportunities as they come, and peace organizations are most often than not unable to persuade people that wars have a negative effect on the economy. Peace organizations take great lengths to promote their hope of a perfect and war-free world. What they tend to leave out however, is that they thrive on pessimistic situations. Without the reality of war, peace organizations would not be able to exist. It is a realism that the organizations would not want to confess.
Some people actually suffer from technophobia, which is an abnormal fear or anxiety about the effects of advanced technology ("Technophobia"). Life in many ways has been improved with the advance in technology. Improved medical procedures and medication, safer vehicles, and access to a vast amount of information are just a few of the good things the technology has created. Still, some regulation of the use of technology in our lives needs to happen or people will continue their overreliance on technology. Technology has negative effects that will need to be recognized and resolved.
