Many of her characteristics showed throughout the short story have proved her to be graceful; brave and cautious. Anna is the surviving half and a courageous blindfolded trapeze act. She made herself into a stunning performer, alongside her husband; they created “The Flying Avalon’s.” She performed many wild stunts, “double summersaults and heart-stopping catches.” (pg190) A horrific tragedy ended the career of “The Flying Avalon’s.” While Anna was 7 months pregnant, lighting struck the main metal pole running directly through the center of the circus tent.

Situation comedy is “based on creating a simple comic premise for each program.” (p. 130) Basically situation comedy brought fun and comic relief to TV. Lucy first starred in, My Favorite Husband. People and even herself saw what a funny, humorous person she was. She was able to find her “Lucy persona,” which was the attractive, zany, and irresistible side to her. In the book it says, “Unlike vaudeo, many TV situation comedies revolved around women stars.” (p. 132) Lucy, being one of these women stars, hit it off big when I Love Lucy started.
Both stories,Aschenputtel and Yeh-Shen shares the same sad background. Both stories are about two young maiden with beauty anf grace. They both lost their mother when they were young, raised by their evil stepmother and stepsisters. Just as Aschenputtel her dream of going to the prince’s ball, Yeh-Shen also had her dream; she “longed to go to the Spring Festival,” where young women met their husbands They both weren’t allowed to go to the festival but they got help and support from their Magical friends. At the end of the festival they both lose a golden slipper and later married a royalty.
