The mix of immigrant and different ethnicity working together created what makes Hawaii so diverse and unique today. Immigration has been and continues to be a great importance to Hawaii’s social, economic, and political life. At the time the economy of Hawaii was bombing from the profit of goods from the plantations, with the increase of profit they need more workers to work. Plantations would grow rapidly and to speed up the process of harvesting crops and good, with the low amount of people on Hawaii the plantation owner sought for new workers that would work for lower pay, this lead them to go for foreigners. When Hawaiian plantations began to increase, there was a dyer need in labor force needed to be imported.

Winston detest Big Brother down to his inner core. To him, going against Big Brother was the ultimate liberty in life. If he were to die still hating Big Brother, it would make the statement of everything he had stood for in life and the sacrifices he had to make.
Eggers seem a bit scared to grow old. He speaks highly if youth, putting the young twentysomethings on a pedestal. Eggers opinions evolve on the youth being the perfect example to society, he strives for that perfection in every spot in his life. He wants the perfect lifestyle for himself and his younger brother, Toph who is also perfect in Eggers eyes. When Eggers tone isn’t adoring it can be very condescending of others.
The war changed the United States in various ways; there were return wages and jobs were available leading to the growth of labor unions. The status of women and minorities were greatly affected .There were shifts towards equality and most of the civil rights were also affected. Despite this, everyone’s dream was victory in war and for this to happen they had to unite (Alan 72). The United States participation in the war at increased after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. It immediately went to war against Japan, Italy and Germany.
The United States saw many changes during the post war years that contributed to a new way of life in America. American citizens were worried they would fall back into the economic and emotional stress that the depression had brought. But instead, the post-war allowed economical, political, emotional growth and changes to the United States and its citizens. It affected the American way of life back then and still affecting us today. Following the WWII the economy boomed in several ways.
Organizations tend to fail miserably because they downplay or ignore the human pain of change. It is this insensitivity to people’s feelings that not only prevents the change but destroys morale and loyalty in the process. Currently the Houston Independent School District is undergoing significant changes throughout the organization. The district’s goal is to become the first school district in the nation to close its’ achievement gap. The need for change is clear and compelling.
Due to there being an overflow of members from the baby boomer generation employed in the public sector, especially for those who hold managerial positions, pending their retirement. It is situations, like this that makes it hard locating an adequate number of skilled senior managers and policy advisors to meet the demands of the general public. In fact, both governments and enterprises are obligated to provide employment opportunities to the young (Strategies for high-quality staffing in the public sector n.d.). The third emerging trend is social; we are living in some trying times. As a result of, the recent recession the group hardest hit were youth, the elderly, indigenous people, the disabled, and women (Social trends and emerging challenges and their impact on public health n.d.).

To be inducted into the National Honors Society, to me, would be my greatest accomplishment in Lenape High School. To know that my intense hard work paid off in the end would institute the self-confidence in myself in which I know that I can take the world by storm. Growing up in the shadows of two brilliant older siblings, shining both in academics as well as athleticism I’ve always had to fight to make my name prominent in my family. Essentially, I wished to shine the light on myself for a change. Now the question lies before me: “why should you be inducted into the National Honors Society?” The National Honors Society is an organization that only exceptional students and members of the community are inducted.
