Pop culture is a trend that is considered to be cool or socially accepted by a large group of people during a particular phase. The trends that come from pop culture have a huge social following, which influences other people to join and accept the trend as socially acceptable. The need for social acceptance comes from an evolutionary perspective of survival (Fisher & Salmon, 2012). People make decisions based on how easy pop culture and its trends make their lives. Pop culture trends can make a person's life easier or harder, so it is a determining factor in everyday decision making.
The second last stage (usually referred to in context of late teens to early adults)is based around esteem, and is argueably one of the most important, especially in the context of the entertainment industry. Maslow theorises that to achieve proper self-actualization, one must first be confident in themselves and their achievements. In short, everyone wants to be seen and accepted as cool. “Cool” in itself is an aesthetic value placed upon persons, places, objects, attitudes and so forth. Some argue that Aristotle came up with the concept of cool in his works about human ethics, but today the meaning is wide and varied.
Music soothes us when we’re stressed or upset. You can find a song for any mood you’re in. Music is one of the most mainstream things in our lives. We hear about it every day on the news. Music isn’t the only thing, though, that influences one’s mood and has become very mainstream in a lot of people’s lives.
When it comes to low self-esteem if you are being encouraged by a group of people or individuals on a daily basis then you will to start to believe in yourself as well. The whole changing process must start with you as a person first, which means no one can change without believing in him/herself first. Once you believe in yourself you will begin to accept new challenges in life, love yourself, all while taking pride in things you do and become better socially. When you have high self-esteem you become very confident and positive towards yourself and everything you do. When it comes to this change it will be most beneficial to the individual with the low self-esteem.

Research now shows that friendship doesn’t “just happen”; there are quantifiable factors involved. Some are obvious, but some are not. I will examine the psychology behind how people choose and hold on to friendships. What is friendship and why do we want it?
No-one, nevertheless, can join whatever belongings he wants owing to the fact that limited resources such as time and money. Then there arises a need to choose the options which is more suitable or more comfortable for their situation and life style. The optional belonging is another critical factor to choose who will be the allies and who will be the enemies. And there remains also the majority whose believes are completely different and conflict with yours and they will try to assert their identity to you. Ultimately, the core idea of The Golden Rule is just about dealing (treating) people with owns perspective. But in practice, people are not alike. They have personality differences. As a result, this rule is not well enough to be implemented in our personal life as well as professional life.
However, those who do not are condemned by both the society and its people. This idea is reflected in Albert Camus’s The Outsider through Meursault’s encounters. Uniformity in society is a scam. Society is anything but a microcosm of friendship and intimacy. The protagonist of The Outsider, Meursault, is estranged because he does not fit into the social norm.
