Both honest mistakes that he didn’t even know he made. The ignorance shown towards Lennie in the novel was due to the time period and the people’s lack of knowledge. People in the story like “The boss” just thought that Lennie wasn’t smart because he just didn’t talk much unless it was to his best friend George. There was ignorance in Raymond because his brother thought that he could remove Ray from his schedules at his home and take him with him. The Ignorance was that Ray needed those schedules or he will have a fit.
This happens more often than not, because the local ITT Tech campus is understaffed and is attempting to continue to offer classes as advertised . This is not to say that these instructors are all uneducated in other fields, but are not qualified to teach a specific course requested of them as a “fill in”. Some instructors do not realize the potential damage of their actions, but instead see only the monetary compensation for their time. This leaves students frustrated with the lack of useful information learned and bitter for having their time and money wasted because of the poor management of ITT Tech . In closing, ITT Technical Institute is clouding Information Technology field with unqualified graduates by giving students a false sense of security, burying students in debt, and hindering the learning potential of students by employing instructors who are often unqualified to teach the curriculum.
Micromanagement like this puts employees in a threatened state and unable to perform their best. Additionally, while the reward system may have appeared functional, it ultimately was very poorly designed. Employees felt incentivized to simply “impress” their superiors, which did not necessarily correlate with actual performance. Further, the assessment cloaked evaluations as a part of career development counseling, creating a conflict of interest for the auditor collecting performance information from the employees. Finally, the evaluation system failed to require managers to provide feedback to their reports, inhibiting an environment of learning or growth.
I quickly learned that presuming is not a good idea, with what I expected of the Island and my superior. Although, Alex was my supervisor this happened because he was also the receptionists, which also caught me off guard. Furthermore, this mean we are short handed on staff. We have no help or may not have the resources to acquire the extra help; I am not sure which one it is yet or it may be
Mr Birling is shown to be an arrogant and confident character. With his first line in the extract given he shows a very careless and selfish attitude with the statement 'I discharged her'. Birling gives a cold attitude towards Eva Smith's life and shows that he doesn't care for her, giving himself a more noticeable selfish attitude. Birling decides to not use her name and constantly regards her as 'girl' and the fact he has to think about her time at his business shows that she wasn't important enough to him, and shows that he thinks workers and people below him don't deserve to be called by their names. Birling tries to intimidate Inspector Goole by boasting about his status and the type of people he knows, for example when Birling mentions the engagement between Sheila and Gerald Croft - a name made famous by 'Croft's limited', Birling brings this up to intimate the Inspector as Birling expects his status to buy him away from trouble and put him above the law.
Someone Had to Say It Self esteem crushed, day ruined, all because someone thought they were funny. [2] Bullying outside of school and throughout the rest of the world is a real issue that nobody seems to be showing any concern towards. People gather everyday to be bullies and bystanders just because it would seem inhumane for them to be doing anything else with their day. Bullies are people with no respect towards others, and are not taking into consideration that what they are doing is going to affect their victims for the rest of their lives. [3] Bullying needs to be stopped, but not just at school.
This lack of education could partly be an explanation for his selfishness, because he has never had the exposure to things other than what he knows in his own small world. When death rocks Anse’s small world he is unfazed and continues his selfish behavior, even going so far as to bury Addie in Jefferson simply for his own
They id not respond appropriately to allegations of abuse. They had not responded to or considered complaints and views of people about the service. Investigations into the conduct of staff were not robust enough and had not safeguarded the residents. The report said that it was now clear that the problems at Winterbourne View were far worse than initially indicated by the whistle-blower and that the provider had effectively misled the Q.C.Q by not keeping them informed about incidents as required by
The happy crowd could not even compare to the city’s crowd because they are at such opposite extremes. They city was rude and grumpy because all they were doing was working whereas Coney Island’s crowd was happy, friendly and excited about what they would experience next. Unfortunately, some critics saw all of the craziness as a bad thing. The things that people face when on a visit to Coney Island could have been considered crude and almost disturbing. James Gibbons Huneker was the first to express his negative attitude towards Coney Island.
He felt that they were uneducated therefore they had undesirable jobs and people treated them differently because of it. Rodriguez notes, “I was not proud of my mother and father. I was embarrassed by their lack of education” (55). Rodriguez goes on to say, “Simply, what mattered to me was that they were not like my teachers” (55). In the book Rodriguez takes every thing that his teachers say at face value and he never questions if perhaps they could be wrong or mistaken on subjects.
