I feel that’s an inequality, because when people do not want to look after there area or things start going down hill instead of helping prevent it the problems get worse and people move away. The police and other authorities are helping to prevent it which is good but the people in the community need to see what’s happening and help. All these things add up and make a lot of little inequalities along City Road. In conclusion. I would say there are a number of inequalities that shape City Road, How it works and how the people work.
By 1350 there were some quite serious public health problems in towns, where the lack of fresh water and drainage was a problem which caused the water to be contaminated by other sources and was not healthy to drink. The government were not willing to donate funds to fixing this problem because they did not think it was their job to improve public health, but sometimes they passed laws requiring people to keep the streets clean especially in times when disease was common however these laws were difficult to enforce. Therefore, the Romans’ progress was not maintained. Meanwhile, animal excrement was common in the street and butchers slaughtered their animals and threw the remains on the streets which lead to disease and germs causing people to get sick. All this suggests that during the middle ages there was no progress in public health and that the standard of public health had gone backwards especially in the towns and cities.
Good morning everyone, today I will be speaking to you about the issue, Are speed cameras effective or not? I believe that speed cameras are ineffective because they are not efficient enough. They do not achieve their purpose, they can potentially be hazardous and should be removed from the roads or the government needs to generate another method that is more efficient. Speed cameras are often recognized as being inaccurate. * People are always complaining that they have been fined for something they were accused of doing.
Speakeasy operators began bribing the police to let them go without any violations. Some police could even be bribed to give notice in advance if there were any raids to be expected. Not only did the prohibition of alcohol corrupt average citizens, but it also corrupted some law
This is the main reason I do not think the Bloody Code played a part in stamping this out. There are various factors, however, that I believe were a part in stomping out highway robbery. Some clever people did just not want to become a highwayman. This is because of a few factors: houses were built on open land, which made it harder for highwaymen to rob people; people were starting to use banks instead of money, which meant sometimes highwaymen would rob people but they had no money to hand so it was pointless; rewards were being offered to encourage people to catch highwaymen, even if nobody was brave enough there was still a risk that they could be caught and hung and also justices of the peace(JPs) had stop licensing taverns which meant that highwaymen had to find other places to sell their loot. Open land around London was being built on as the population expanded.
“But the Duvitches were marked people.” (3) This prevented them to do what they wished peacefully because where ever they went they would be harassed by the town folk. And that harassment helps to prevent them from feeling free. Moving into a new country is tough, but moving to a place where the community doesn’t accept you is much harder. Even though you are technically free, you can never be free unless you are accepted by the community you move to. This is shown in the short story The Strangers That Came to Town by Ambrose Flack.
1.2 The impact of societal Attitudes and beliefs Any type of sensory loss can cause people to experience, the ways in which society treats them differently. Individuals often believe that anybody suffering with sensory loss also have lack of understanding. Very often people raise their voice to somebody who is suffering from loss of vision. There are many simple things that people do without thinking of the impact on individuals with sensory loss. Such as parking vehicles on the pavement and not leaving room for someone who is not able to see especially if this is in their normal route and not used to anything being there.
It made me feel like I was untrustworthy and unwanted. It made me angry, I stopped going into his shop when another shop opened locally as did a lot of kids. This shop had CCTV, perhaps what the other shop owner should have done. Maybe if he did he wouldn’t have made me and the local kids feel like criminals.
Was there a rule or norm that existed and the answer is yes, both existed. According to our text, “being regarded as mentally abnormal by others is usually a result of breaking the rules of the society; one behaves in a way that is considered odd, eccentric, bizarre, and/or troublesome” (Emeritus 293). Mr. McCollum displayed odd behavior and broke the rules through his obsession with trains by trespassing in the rail yard, impersonating transit personnel, stealing busses for joy rides and violating the conditions of his probation when he returned to the city and attempted to impersonate transit workers time and time again. The second criterion is someone must violate (or be thought to violate) that norm, Mr. McCollum was known to have this obsession by law enforcement, his parents and the court system, we know this because he was told multiple times through his subsequent arrests, court appearances and prison term. The issue is that not only did he know what he was doing by violating parole was wrong, he admitted to the court he couldn’t help himself, according to the story.
But if you are being rude to your customer, I’m pretty sure that he/she would immediately turn around and walk out of your store right that you would lose all the chances of doing business. Secondly, good manners and politeness are important to a society. I believe that a good nation is made up of great citizens, why would I say so? Imagine everyone in the society that is not having a manner to consider about others feeling, for example, people are littering on the street which, of cause, the environment would be ruined, but the main point is that this society would be considered as ‘uncivilized’. Moreover, being polite to people can minimize conflicts between people.
