Providing exceptional care and quality service for the veterans is our number one mission. The VA Core Values are the face of our service and how situations are handled. In the midst of such poor economic times the VA knows the challenges that lie ahead, which contributes to their “step-ahead approach”. My first day on the job I was educated how imperative delivering services to veterans and families are number one. That in order to assemble precise and accurate service understanding operating procedures values and culture must adhere to everyday labor. Compassion, innovation and personal dedication are pillars of strength as the organization looks to moves to the future. Description of the VA Growing from humble beginning, [1][i]The Department of Veterans Affairs was created June 21, 1930, and then known as the Veterans Administration. The VA provides confederacy for Veterans' assisting with disable and homeless veterans per the request of President Hoover. The responsibility of the newly executed VA involved disable, medical, financial, pensions and retirement plans for veterans. To fulfill President Lincoln's promise “To care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan” by serving and honoring the men and women who are America’s troupers.
