Offering work programs that help prepare young people for management or skilled positions is a good way to take crime off of the streets while showing to the community that the business cares about the welfare of the population. This can help bring in a group of potential profit earners for the company while at the same time reducing crime in the stores and the surrounding neighborhood. The improved reputation could only serve to bring in shoppers who are more prone to visit the larger and cheaper chains such as Walmart. While this will incur immediate liability costs as the plan is enacted, the end result benefiting the shareholders is a cheaply trained future leadership staff, an improved reputation for the company as a whole, and a long term boost in
New laws and regulations come about because of social and political changes. Organizations abiding by state and federal laws and regulations may result in the organization spending more money on additional taxes, new technology development, and legal fees. Competition may consist of the startup of a new organization offering similar services and products in the same marketplace, which presents a new challenge. The customers are the most critical in the environment. As the end-users, they will usually improve the organization’s image in the community because of satisfaction with the product or service, or ruin the image of the organization in the community because of dissatisfaction with the product or service.
However, there are advantages and disadvantages of international trade in the simulation that cause the world’s economy to fluctuate and leave certain countries astray. One of the advantages to international trade that I found for countries was the monetary gains and having the ability to keep their own markets honest causing the local producers to improve its goods for the reason citizens have more choices available to them. The disadvantages of international trade have to deal with countries of higher power that try to take advantage of smaller countries by swindling their government into unorthodox trading during a crisis within those countries. Another disadvantage is the possibility of local producers becoming weak, causing the unemployment rate to rise because local producers are unable to compete with international
The strength of the economy encouraged Americans to take out more loans and buy more stocks, making them susceptible to future changes in the economy. The freedom caused financial markets to crash globally which helped power the Great Depression. Another example of lack of government intervention was the robber barons, a term referring to the wealthy and powerful businessmen in the 18th century. They were also known as “pure capitalists”, because they believed in an economic system that involved minimal interference from the government. Those working for robber barons were beaten and threatened, and the working conditions were terrible.
One of the reasons companies outsource workers, and thus help imperialize foreign countries, is for cheap labor. Western corporations can have multiple sources for a given item, in order to allow continued production once one region realizes it is being treated unfairly and strikes. Oddly, it is argued that these companies could survive without any foreign connection—capitalism without imperialism. But, this would lower profits and prevent “advanced capitalism.” The decision to claim that cultures with what is considered modern technology is defined by military power rather than which culture is actually superior. It is this force that essentially created this gap.
It is true that corporations and consumers receive the benefits of cheap labor, but to facilitate stability, taxpayers must cover the infrastructural cost. Notwithstanding all the negative ramifications, illegal aliens do raise the general effectiveness of the U.S. economy by adding profitable contributions via taxes and hence diminishes marginal cost for total product production. Though this topic is important, there are more significant topics (i.e. automation in manufacturing or the growth in global trade) that will have more impact on the U.S.
Creating more profit opportunities by increasing marketing and promotion will encourage the dealerships to bring in and stock more of Company S’s product. This strategy is advantageous because it increases the opportunities for profit for not only the dealerships, but for Company S as well. If the dealerships sell more units, then Company S will make more money as well. This will create trust between Company S and it’s dealerships. A disadvantage of this strategy would be costly.
Wal-Mart does not care about the American economy because they are thriving the way the economy is now, so American citizens have to stand up for their communities. According to the book, How Walmart is destroying America and what you can do about it, when you are a huge rich company and all you want to do is get huger and richer, it turns out a lot of smaller, poorer people have to get hurt in the process. Wal-Mart with all its size and power, could hurt people or help them in a lot of situations. Which do you think it normally chooses to do (Bill Quinn 102)? The answer for so many years has obviously been hurt people.
First of all, illegal immigrants may or may not choose to file personal taxes, but they certainly pay sales taxes. These taxes increase the overall economic situation of many local communities. The smaller the community, the more positive effect an influx of illegal immigrants is going to have on the economy, as they spend money and therefore spend sales tax. They also stimulate the economy by providing stimulation of the workforce. However, illegal immigrants are subject to institutional and societal prejudice for several reasons.
Moreover, the goods from the outsourcings may not be as efficient as the goods that are made within the country. The consumers would choose the goods through the brand names or the prices; however, sometimes the consumers would choose goods by where they are made. Therefore, it is very significant to know where the goods are manufactured because it will increase the satisfaction of consumers since they are very demanding on the quality of goods. In addition, as the consumption of the goods decrease, the companies will earn less revenue that decreases the investment that they will spend for outsourcings. Thus, consumer demand has a big impact on outsourcings since people do not want to spend money on the outsourcings’ goods which make the companies earn less profits; on the other hand, the outcome will reduce the spending on
