As a conclusion, my mother is my blessed gift in my life. There are many people who have inspired me in many ways but, my mother who inspired me the most. I believe that in writing this book, McBride is establishing the fact that he is very proud of his success and how his mother was key in helping him accomplish it, but most of all, proud of his mother for being who she was. In order to convey his theme and purpose for The Color of Water, McBride had to utilize a distinctive organization. In each chapter, there are two parts. The first is about his mother’s life
To put it simply, my mom is truly the most amazing woman I have ever met. She is always selfless, helpful, caring, and above all, loving. My mom lives by many great life quotes, these quotes all have played a major role in making me who I am today and continue to have a notable influence in my life. "Be the change you wish to see in the world." This quote started as I got a little bit older and began to find out who I really was.
These are the people that leave lasting marks on our world and make it a better place for the rest of us to live out our lives in a positive and meaningful manner. One of these people that felt so strongly for a cause is a woman by the name of Lilly Ledbetter and because she was strong enough to take a stand and never back down there is now a bill written in the books bearing her name, “The Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act.” Lilly Ledbetter lived her life as many Americans do. The Relay was a very special part of my family's life because of what it meant to cancer survivors like my grandma. One thing’s for sure, no matter what she had planned that night you could always count on Mawmaw Maggie being there and walking the Survivor's Lap for the cause. From what I remember she would walk most of the night only stopping for an occasional drink and snack. My family’s unfailing participation in this event taught me to never be selfish and to always do things to help others even when I feel like I’m having my own
I believe that everyone should master organizational skills. Organizational skills are important. It makes it easier to comprehend something, find things, makes what you are working on better in appearance, etc. I know this because I have always practiced good organizational skills. I learned organization skills from my mother.
I got this from my mother. She taught me about God and faith, and that there is good in everyone and you should
Now, I apply those values to my life and even more so as a mother and wife. My family is the reason why I am so
