The Most Influential Person

The person who has had the biggest influence in my life is my mother. My mother has taught me that hard work and determination will take you a long way. She always has pushed me to do my best and I feel a debt of gratitude to my mother for always being there for me through thick and thin. She has always been my role model and I have long admired her success in her work ethic and how she presents herself. My mother has showed me that hard work does pay off because after many years of being a Chicago police officer, she became a Chicago sergeant. My goal in life is to be like my mother and be able to make those in my life be very proud of me and be able to realize how dedicated I can be once I devote myself to something. Although, I’m undecided as to what I want to do in college, my mother has supported me along the way in helping plan my future. She has told me plenty of times that it’s okay to be undecided, and I feel very comforted that she is so casual through the whole experience. I hope once I figure out what I want to do in life, my mother will be proud of me. My mother’s humbleness is probably the best characteristic about her and I hope to carry that in life. She also has a good heart, she treats everyone in the best way possible and that just shows that they are some good in people. My mother’s accomplishments have meant a lot to me because it shows such dedication and I know that’s a spectacular trait to have while growing up. I’m positive my mother was put in my life to guide me and put on the path that will determine the rest of my life. I’m very honored to have someone like her in my life.
