This story is about a expert hunter using his skills to run from another expert hunter. C. The story is based on wits and cunningness it is a battle of the best. D. My paper will explain the book and give you a taste of what the story is really about. II. Historical Context A. This story takes place in the 1900’s because General Zaroff was a general in World War 1. B. I think this book took place during the 1970’s. C. This short story takes place on an island in the Caribbean D. this story could have happened in real life but it took place in the 1970’s. III. Literary Devices A. This about my two literary devices, which are dilemma and irony. B. The dilemma is this story is that Rainsford must survive for 3 days against the expert hunter General Zaroff. C. The irony in this story is that the hunted kills the hunter. D. This story had a lot of literary devices but I found these two to be most important. IV. Author’s Purpose A. The author who wrote this short story was Richard Connell and he wrote this to expand the reader’s imagination. B. He wrote this to show what could happen when man has to hunt man. C. He wrote this also to excite the reader and have an unexpected ending. D. This author did an amazing job with this story because it’s a story with an all around great plot, resolution, and climax. V. Conclusion A. “The Most Dangerous Game” was the most exciting short story that I read and that’s why I picked it for my research paper B.
