I believe that she does feel bad that her children, who once really loved their father, have become bitter towards him now. She feels that she knows he painful it is to hate someone you still love, and wishes that even though, Jody D. was bad for her, that he could at least be good for them. She tends to compare her father and her ex-husband frequently. In addition to them being close, she feels that they both are “no-good daddies”. Another observation was when a fellow co-worker asked another, about T. Smith and stated that she would like to get to know her better.

That bad news is that I don't always behave the way other people would call normal. Grown-ups sometimes yell at me for not paying attention. I am easily angered by certain jokes and comments. Even the slightest false joke about me can easily tip me off. My sister still unintentionally annoys me every day.

Although it may not be used as a public sentence the same way as it may have been long ago, it is still implied in today’s society. People like to spend their time on judging someone on how they dress, act, talk, or who they hang out with. People just do this because of their insecurity, fear, jealousy, hate, or because of a crime of any size they have committed.
I know this because Lysandra still hates Elaine and now directs her famous, hateful poetry at her years later. Elaine proves this by saying, “The words claw out from the page like so many birds of prey. And all of them seem to be moving in my direction.” (73). Lysandra’s conflict with herself (inability to forgive and move forward) is a negative way in dealing with conflicts or treating your friends. I know this because Lysandra is holding a grudge on something that happened a while back that could’ve been a great friend-ship, she’s also famous now so why does it matter?
When someone cannot socialize or encounter the same surroundings, they begin to act very talkative and get aggravated easily. For example, when the narrator says, “I get unreasonable angry at John sometimes,” (2). The narrator gets aggravated at everything quickly, such as her husband, the house, her brother’s sister, and that yellow wallpaper. Spanking is intolerable Spanking is surrounding the world. It’s like a disease and made the kids scared of their parent. When the children did something wrong, parents thought they should spank the kids and let the kids remember what get them into trouble? Is it a good idea? Of course not, all people know that fighting can’t solve anything, and sometimes it would make the problem worse.
A characteristic such as this plays into the ignorance displayed towards foreign affairs and also on a more personal level. I have noticed while listening to adults especially, that they almost always feel the need to express how busy their lives are and all the things that their kids are doing, while leaving little time to listen to what others may have to say. Feeling the need to tell people how stressful your life is just goes to show that the activities you are doing are probably being done for the wrong reason, not for self gratification but for show. In society today listening has most definitely taken the backseat to talking. It is a sad truth that should be addressed immediately because without listening to others you ultimately are showing that you do not care about them or what is going on in their life, thus distancing yourself from them.

Life alone is hard. Add a spouse, children, pets, work and daily responsibilities to the list, and we each will begin to see and feel the effects of a roller coaster of emotions. There are no exact guides on how to deal with the stress and fears that life brings our way.
