Geographical barrier * Some individuals live near health, social care and early years services and others may live some distance away. For those individuals who do not live near the services they may find that the buses in the area do not run at a convenient time to get to an appointment. A patient may need to have specialist treatment which is many miles away and finds it difficult to get there. Finding it difficult to travel to the services because of distance is a geographical barrier. Some individuals may find that due to their mobility problem they cannot walk a short distance to the health, social care and early years services.
Abstract The following paper will discuss some of the barriers that could deprive a person in obtaining proper health care services. The paper will also touch on subject, and present several facts that have devastating consequences in which are linked to the barrier and obstacles discussed in this paper.   Barriers and Obstacles There are many barriers, obstacles, and limitations that people may run into when trying to obtain medical attention. One of the biggest barriers that a person seeking medical attention faces continuously is not being able to obtain medical insurance, but the list goes on. Being unable to afford transportation, proper treatment, and recommended therapies are several examples that the people in the minority group suffer from.
This isn’t the only condition that causes the service user to be immobile. Some service users may have an illness or condition, which means that they can’t move from a bed to a chair because the illness that they have prevents them from moving. The service user may not have an illness; they may have been in an accident that has caused them to have lack of mobility. If the service user lacks mobility, it is hard for them to look after themselves because they can’t move around and do the everyday things that need to be done. They would need to be helped all the time.
Cover discrimination is when you can’t tell discrimination has taken place, for example someone could not get picked for a job just because of their age, social class, gender and sexuality. This would be hard to pinpoint as discrimination because it’s hard to find out why the person did not get the job. Age discrimination is when a person is treated unfairly because of how old they are, harassed or victimised because of their age. In a hospital elderly patients might not get the best medication available because they are seen to waste resources because they are going to die. They could say that the money saved from doing this could be spent on young people who have a feature.
On the other hand, many people question Henrys decision. Some of the evidence that was collected at the time was unreliable & biased against the monasteries the people of the community had no one to help them if they were sick, had a shortage of food or if they were made temporarily homeless they would have no where to get help for any of these problems. OK, this is a long story you know but i'll try my best to keep it succinct. Henry was married to
The patient may trip or fall do to not being able to see clearly, causing injury. The care provider may give the wrong medication which can be very dangerous causing illness. The stairs can be a challenge to climb even for healthy individuals, this is even more difficult for the vulnerable people especially if there is not adequate support e.g. hand rail or a electric lift. The possible harm of not having adequate support can cause major harm for the patient as they may be more likely to fall and trip
Isolation would not make the citizens happy because some countries do not have all the appropriate resources to live comfortably in a modern world. For example, there is North Korea. This country is completely isolated from the rest of the world, and the citizens are often forced to do things they do not want to do. They must "worship" the country's leader and will get serious punishment if they get caught saying bad thing about him, not following other rules, etc. The citizens do not get the appropriate health care either because they do not have access to experienced doctor's from other countries.
Illiterate adults cannot read a phone book in order to get a number. For example, an illiterate adult may need to speak with someone who can fix their plumbing. They need a way to get a phone number to a plumbing service but aren’t capable of looking up numbers in a phone directory. In these cases with illiterate adults, the only way to get by in communicating is having someone they trust to help them read text to get
A licensed practical nurse is below a registered nurse level and not even an RN can do this. Jerry knows that with his training he is not allowed to refill a prescription medication. Jerry knows that Valium is an antidepressant and addictive drug. Jerry is not allowed to refill this prescription because he is not a medical doctor, dentist, or a psychologist. He has training for a LPN and knows that no matter what type of medication a patient is asking him to refill he is not allowed to.
Financial They are many barriers, when it comes to costs as many people in Britain work long hours to get the minimum wages and spend most of it on their way of living which includes food, shelter and for their families. This factor means that there is very little spent for transport cost which is used for health facilities or social services centre. There is also prescription for medication which is expensive for special needs for each person who may have a health problem. Dental care is a barrier as the cost for each treatment may be too expensive for some people, as the NHS does not cover the cost. The other barrier are that individuals with young children with a small wage may have difficulty for providing for their family as they neglect
