They each show great respect for their father through their actions. Dale’s opening narration shows us how Dale sees his father. When talking about his father, Dale speaks very highly about him. Through this we can see that Dale really looks up to his father and sees him s a hero. This is shown though his opening lines when he refers to Darryl as” Dad is the backbone of the Kerrigan family”.
But I am not dumbfounded of it all. The one person in the world that I can say is truly a great Haitian hero in my personal opinion is my late great grandfather, Bousett Herivaux. My great grandfather is my hero because he played the father role in my life, he served for his country, and he loved everyone with all of his heart. My great grandfather was truly one of a kind. As an infant my father had walked out on my mother and I.
A strong connection between the father and son in both texts is an evident factor that strongly affects their belonging. This is shown in the text Romulus, My Father where the strong relationship between Raimond and his father greatly influence how happy they are with themselves and how connected they are with each other. This continual connection and attachment they have with each other is shown through the use of symbolism of the motorbike that Romulus lends to Raimond. This motorbike symbolize the strong trust and connection that Romulus and Raimond have throughout the
The chivalric code of honor’s purpose was to guide King Arthur’s knights toward being true nobleman. Following the code meant you were to have five very important qualities, brotherly love, a pure mind, boundless beneficence, manners, and of course compassion. These five qualities are what made King Arthur and his entire fellow knights so memorable to us all. I would have to say that to me them having brotherly love towards each other was what made them inimitable, meaning they were to treat each other as if they were blood brothers, along with mutually respecting and defending each other. Sir Gawain was Arthur’s nephew and one of his most loyal knight, is our best example of chivalry there is, he shows compassion to anyone in need and he also is known for being tenderhearted man.

The correlation between relationships and an individual’s sense of belonging can be clearly seen in the loving relationship between Romulus and his son Raimond. Both truly belong to each other through the unconditional bond of love between parent and child. The relationship also gives belonging to both through Raimond giving his father the strength to overcome constant tragedy as shown by the quotes “My son is everything to me." and “never say I don’t love you” and with Romulus doing everything in his power for his son to have a better life “he denied himself so I would have more”. The technique of anecdotes is used throughout the book to show how strong their love and sense of belonging to each other is such as how Raimond always feels safe and loved when riding with his father on their bike “Most of all, I remember his strong, bare, sun-darkened arms on either side of me as I sat on the petrol tank.” These anecdotes also allow the responder to connect more personally with the characters and their history and more fully understand their relationship.
Instead, the colour spread. By the end of the week, Jason says Logan’s entire body was as “yellow as a Simpsons character,” and his stomach had filled with fluid, becoming distended. Logan’s blood work revealed he was experiencing liver failure, but his doctors had no idea why. The family was transferred from their local hospital in Hamilton to department 6A—the transplant wing—in SickKids hospital in Toronto. The Hampsons didn’t know it then, but it’s where they would spend much of the next four years, a place they would ruefully come to call their home away from home.

He grew up to be the image of his father, brave and trustworthy. As Mariah began to recall the many memories and the legacy her husband left behind she realized that there was still a living being, but not just any being, the body of her husbands soul, the missing link between them. A beautiful son who now grew up to raise his own family. Thus continuing the legacy, the legacy of a man with a heart of gold and attitude that one man should not be spared for another, that it takes a village to raise a child and that no matter what, what you leave behind will be remembered forever. Mariah lived by this and it was now her time to pass on this legacy, as she looked up from the almost trance like state she was in Mariah held out the small frame containing the photograph and passed it to her son who sat in the opposing chair.
