The Journey into Africa Tour, from the website of www.sandiegozoo.org, the San Diego zoo website, since 2008, talks about sceneries that people would see if they visit their place including various animals and places in different areas. The introduction already engages the reader to involve with “As you approach the vehicle,” which gives a persuasive quick start. The writer continues with “inspired by the legendary safari trains of Africa”, where it has used metaphor to describe vehicles of land rovers joined as a line as “trains”. He also added “legendary”, which may specify that this tour vehicle had been well experienced ever since the beginning. This could also mean that they are professional at their services for tourists and others who want to visit the Africa Tour. While the writer lists of equipment that are commonly used for tours, “lift-up flaps, maps and cultural artefacts” shows parallel structure, rhyming and repetition. This may probably reveal that the writer itself may also seem to enjoy the tour. The second paragraph gives a detail in depth from the first paragraph. From the first sentence, the writer used proximity, “eye to eye” to allow the readers to interact with the writer’s description into reality. While mentioning several kinds of animals, it also mentions the size, especially “big”. Additionally, it even added an alliteration of “feathered friends” which gives the strength of feeling of a relationship between the reader and his/her so-imagined animals from the Africa Tour. The third paragraph begins with the area where the tour goes to i.e. South Africa and North Africa. The writer, again, uses metaphor from “You’ll also roll through North Africa” which suggests smoothness and speed of arriving at certain destinations. It used alliteration from “animals with amazing adaptations”, where it also shows the powerful used of word: “amazing”.
