I was warned not to talk to too many people because there are many thieves and killers. I have heard many stories of people leaving for the Silk Road and never coming back Day 93 I took a lot longer than I had planned to get through the mountains. Food was scarce and I only met one person in the last 63 days. He was an interesting man we talked about our lives I told him about home and he told me about masulipatam, the city he was from and about his family. As the night went on we talked about more philosophical things such as our faith.
McVeigh was given an honorable discharge from the Army Reserve in May 1992. After leaving the army in 1992 he worked briefly as a security guard. The long hours in a dead-end job, the feeling that he didn't have a home, and his failure to establish a relationship with a woman brought McVeigh to the breaking point. He typically felt nervous around women. He decided that Buffalo New York was too liberal, so he decided to drive through America visiting his old army buddies.
In the story “Let it Snow” by David Sedaris the first person character talks about how snow was a regular thing in winter when he lived in New York, but when he moved to North Carolina it rarely snowed. He recalls when he was in fifth grade that it snowed so much that school was canceled for several days. He goes on to say that his mother had a breakdown and kicked them out of the house, without letting them back in or even acknowledging them. They were so desperate to get back into the house that they came up with a plan to have their little sister get hit by a car so their mother would feel bad about herself and not treat them badly anymore. A neighbor found out what they were doing and informed the mother.

My family didn’t know if it was safe to leave the house. Back then, it took news longer to travel so by the time they had heard about it, the second bomb was struck. Mrs. Cave said she had a family friend who was a soldier during this time and he was going to be shipped off to help with WWII. Her parents wanted to go to Decatur in hope of watching the troop train pass by and seeing their friend. Like so many families, waving good-bye to a soldier could have meant that would be the last time they would be seen.
Naima always wanted to go to the United States and see something outside of the small town that she has always lived in. Her mother went through hardships when she was younger when she had to hide in a cave with a lot of other people. Her mother was hiding because there were bombs going off and people were taking their land. In Naima's home country there is a lot of violence going on and not many people would want to be around. (Push factor) Naima's older brother was killed in prison and one of her other brothers went to prison.
