The Effects of Increasing the Price of Fuel Fuel is the most important thing, for many vehicles. Without fuel machine can not work. In Indonesia fuel divide into 3 kinds, they are Premium, Pertamax, and Solar. Premium is cheaper than Pertamax and Solar. Solar is the most expensive because it can only be used on a certain machine. Pertamax between both of them. About 2 weeks ago, government announced that they were going to increase the price of Premium from Rp4500/liter into Rp6000/liter. It surprised many people especially the poor people. Most of them did not agree with government’s idea. Although the price of fuel in Indonesia is cheaper than other country, some people still can not buy it. Increasing the price of fuel always be effecting other things prices. For some people who has a lot of money, it does not matter. It is a horrible thing for others who does not have a lot of money. In this essay, I want to discuss about the effects that is caused by the increase of BBM’s fuel, for example demonstration, expensive daily needs, and the cost of public transportation. Demonstration always happens in Indonesia. Most of them was done by university students. They always demonstrate everytime the government announced that they want to increase fuel’s price. It is like a routine activity for them. In the beginning, they just scream out their aspirations and wishes. In the end, it will ended by anarchism. They harm public fasilities, such as fences, benches, and many more. They always have a clash with the police there. Some of them do not afraid to throw some stones to the police. Increasing the price of fuel affects the price of daily goods. Why is increasing the price of fuel can affect the price of daily goods? Maybe because of the delivery of the goods.
