As I studied and broke down 1 Corinthians chapter 15 I found just how important it is for Christians to understand the significance of the resurrection. Resurrection is why Christians can find joy in death. What I found is that 1 Corinthians chapter 15 is divided into two sections. In the first section, verses 1-34, Paul explains how real resurrection truly is. In the second section, verses 35-58, Paul explains resurrected bodies. This really hit home with me as I have had to digest this portion of scripture as a whole, not looking at only one verse or two. I think that the amount of time Paul spent teaching this principle of the doctrine of the resurrection to the people at Corinth has to be significant to us. It cannot be taken lightly and we should be careful to understand just how we are going to get to heaven just as we would if we were going to travel across country.
